The whole bazar area has an infinite amount of gifts you can take home to remember your visit to Thailand (Chiang Mai). Can take hours to get around for the ladies and for the men there are rest stops for beer and massages

I've been going here off and on for many years, and I have all the Thai handicrafts I will ever want or need, but it's still lots of fun to browse, watch the people, and sample the food.

Although the stalls & other elements of the Kalare Night Bazaar were nothing out of the ordinary, the food court was an unexpected surprise, based on the variety, cost and taste of the food. Based on a food coupon system (similar to the food courts in Bangkok shopping centre), you buy coupons from a cashier as you enter and then... More

There are lots of food to choose from. However you need exchange with some sort of coupon with baht and then use them to purchase the food. Basic English was okay during my visit. Lots of seats so shouldn't be a problem to find one. Food quality was great, would recommend to try.

We stumbled upon this food court after deciding to hit up the night bazaar and were feeling peckish. You have to exchange bahts into some proprietary coupon currency but the coupons are refundable so that's not an issue. The choice is excellent, with everything from won ton noodles (yum) to sushi. In addition, at only 50 baht per dish there's... More

There are several options in this night market. You can get good grills, seafood, thai and even arabic food if you fancy some hummus! Prices are high for road side restaurants in SE Asia but then this is a tourist spot. Most restaurants display their menus outside and if price is a concern, then check before walking in. Be specially... More

Plenty of souvenirs to choose from. Artists downstairs are super talented and reasonable. Never once felt unsafe late at night.

The night bazaar is a great place to practice your haggling, do some shopping for t-shirts, trousers, clothes and souvenirs. I recommend the hand carved soap sculptures as they are just amazing if you can keep in safe and intact. To be honest it is just a typical night bazaar in Thailand, but still is liked it. There are also... More

Many of the below reviews all have the same messgae which is that a night market is a night market is a night market... However Kalare offers Muay Thai matches at an outdoor ring that is equal parts tourists and locals. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend.
