This small vegetarian restaurant is located inside the premises of Wat Suan Dok. The setting is peaceful and the food enjoyable. It does sometimes get very busy and then you have to wait for a long time. We have had the Masaman curry, it's excellent. Salads are also very good. The quality of the food is good and they don't... Just next to the temple this is a must in your visit to Chiang Mai! Not just Thai food but specialties you have never tasted, homemade exquisit dishes that will make you want to come back. Closes Wednesday and usually at 3PM food is sold out so you should go early :)

We really enjoyed our visit to Pun Pun restaurant which is situated just behind the Wat of Suan Dok.We tried the rosette tea made from flowers which had a slightly bitter but deliciously different taste from any teas I have tasted before. Both the Panang curry and stir fried shitake mushrooms with tofu and vegetables werefantastic with lots of fresh... More

I highly recommend Pun Pun for everyone. The food is delicious and provide some unique styles to vegetable dishes. There are some things I didn't even know you could do with vegetables and they did it. I tried item 6 and 7 on the special dishes menu, great food. The store is within the Wat Suan Dok, temple; so you... More

My wife and I came here after reading the great reviews this place had. After walking in we should have turned around and left but we had walked awhile and we were hungry. The place was absolutely dirty. We have travelled all over the world and we are ok if a place is not super clean but Pun Pun was... More

We've visited a number of vegetarian restaurants in Chiang Mai and Pun Pun is head and shoulders above the rest. Perhaps it is because they cater to Thai customers as well tourists so the food has flavour. We ordered the 'vegetarian' sausage that though nothing like what we were expecting was delicious and the highlight of the meal. The massuman... More

Good to know a place where you can trust the food is really vegetarian. Tasty local food. Quiet and easy to find place off the busy street, Enough parking space. Nice staff, service at the rush hour (noon +) sometimes a little slow. We go there from times to times.

A full menu with great portions, friendly service and a nice ambiance. Breakfast can serve as lunch with some of these choices!

After hearing about this place we absolutely had to check it out on our visit to Wat Suan Dok Temple. The setting is very cute in the back gardens of the temple grounds and the menu was extensive and in english which helped! All healthy thai vegetarian dishes ranging from legume and seed salads to soups, fermented mushroom sausages, spicy... More
