9 of us for dinner. We ordered Combo Sets - a Seafood Platter and a Mixed Combo Platter. Topped up with wantons. The waitress helped us with putting the ingredients into the steamboat. But beyond that, they made themselves scarce. Not that the diner was crowded. Far from it. Steamboating should best be done using round tables. As it was,... More

Lo hei with abalone - a first for me. Jelly salad - nice Snow bun with pork - very good. Steam boat with Kobe beef, beef, pork, fishballs, liver. Goose web feet and mung bean noodles. I actually ate the feet! But still prefer the noodles soaked in the sauce. Yummy! Grilled Pigeon with salted sauce - good Muah Chee... More

This restaurant is very famous but every time I visited they cheat from money. We should take a look the bill very carefully and claim to them. Even we visited Thai friends they rip off.

Went to dinner at this Chinese Dim Sum and Hot Pot restaurant. Started with Dim Sum appetizers (Ha Gow, Siu Mai and a doughnut wrapped in translucent rice dough) and then had the Hot Pot, which is boiling water with raw veggies, meat, seafood and noodles that one cooks on the table. All were delicious. Finished with Thai desserts; I... More

Suki was ok, better than mk in my opinion. But texas suki is also at the same level with coca suki. Their chinese fod menu is quite good which you have to order an a la carte like fish and tofu. Taste was originak from many years back in th time. One bad thing is a super slow service.

This is the flagship restaurant of this group and speaking a little thai certainly helps but is not essential. Japanese seem to love this restaurant, it was certainly full of them. Service was reasonable but the food was fresh and if anything a little upmarket for a Suki restaurant. If you order the special dishes it soon adds up, however... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
