Really good food! The massamam curry was the best I've had in my month in SEA and the tofu was delicious. Recommend 😊

May Kaidee's restaurant serves up amazing Vegetarian and Vegan dishes! Definitely a highlight of the places we ate on our trip to Thailand and Sri Lanka. It is also a vegetarian cooking school which we'd like to try if we had more time!

Located very close to Khao San, humble looking May Kaidees Vegan restaurant sits pretty in a quaint little alley which can be easily traced using google maps. This is easily one our best discoveries in Bangkok. They have a variety of vegan rice paper rolls served with some amazing peanut based and soy based dips. That tangy crunchy papaya salad... More

Found this restaurant via Tripadvisor and it was worth it! I tried the raw pad thai - it was really great! My husband tried the green curry, which was also yummy. The homemade icetea was refreshing and lovely. They serve no alcohol.

We went for the buffet on Saturday night, the food was fantastic (every dish we tried was yummy) and at a great price, unfortunately our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we rolled away feeling very very full We tried the home made pomegranate and ginger juice too - fantastic. We went with our 2 year old and she... More

After visiting the small but perfectly formed May Kaidee in Chiang Mai, where we had a fantastically tasty meal in a great atmosphere, with friendly staff, we were excited to see that there were branches in Bangkok. We were so disappointed. The Massaman curry, one of my all-time favourites, was horrid: the background taste was like Heinz tomato soup -... More

Veggie food can be found anywhere in BKK, but it's still nice to go to vegetarian places. May Kaidee's is the best in that regard! I enjoy the green curry most.

May Kaidee's story is that of a rural girl who came to the big city and cooked with her aunt. She has restaurant at the back of Thanon Tanao. If you head down Khaosan Road you will run into Thanon Tanao ( Burger Kings opposite and slightly to the right) i Her restaurant is in the alley behind Burger Kings.... More

We visited here on our first night after reading good reviews and were not disappointed. A very friendly welcome into a small, unassuming restaurant. We had the most delicious raw spring rolls with peanut sauce. So good that I've been thinking about them ever since! We both had the green curry and every mouthful was a delight! There were 2... Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
