As others mentioned the restaurant isn’t inside the hotel. The free hotel shuttle boat stops at the hotel then the restaurant but make sure you tell the staff at the ferry your correct destination. The Thai buffet have a good selection of dishes and they are all quite tasty. There are two types of non alcoholic drink and water free of charge. There are two types of seating and the tatami style one may be troublesome to get up and sit down.

I have been going to eat Thai food there for over 25 years. The location is beautiful just on the river banks across from the hotel. Going there is a pleasure with the hotel’s shuttle boat. The restaurant itself is on the terrace in a beautiful surrounding. This year they have a new manager, Kitty who is one of the warmest and nicest manager I have ever met. The new Michelin chef, Pom is not only an excellent chef but a wonderful person, very down to earth who would do anything to meet your special meal requests. The service provided by Jimmy, whom I know for numerous years now has never changed and still makes going there very special. A big thank you to all of them for making me feel so special!

Definitely go for the beautiful by the water view, Thai dance show which was the best we saw while in Thailand and the friendly service. They serve a tasting menu and we really loved a few dishes but weren’t a fan of a few others including the sweets (they tasted like wax). My seafood was cooked excellent but my husband’s tasted like lobster guts and the chicken had a lot of fat which wasn’t very appetizing. The first few courses were amazing. It’s also rather high priced which is expected at a large hotel chain restaurant. I would recommend going to the bar and restaurant by the water and watching the show from there or if they had an a la cart menu, that would be more desirable. Still had a good time, just expected more.

My wife and I booked the Sala Rim Naam Dinner and Show at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. We got to the MO about 15mins before our reservation time, took the cute ferry across the Chao Praya River to the restaurant on the other side. We were seated very quickly and got a good table with a great view of the stage for the show. The dance show was fantastic and very entertaining. We ordered 2 cocktails which were great (and about 490THB each, pricey but good). The show was actually very well done and the artistes and musicians do a great job. The dinner was Ok, not as mindblowing as one would expect it to be considering the price, the location and the brand esteem of the Mandarin Oriental. Dinner started with appetizers which were good, new and interesting. The entree courses were decent, nothing spectacular. The desserts were a little wierd, we didnt really care for the hard candy type desrt and the candied salted egg yolk that was served. Then came the bill and the reason I give the 3-star review. The dinner and show was 4900 THB in total for 2 persons (my wife and I). There was an additional 350THB charge for Still water (which we were not made aware of prior to), a 10% service charge (about 623 THB) and the 7% VAT (not their fault). We had booked dinner and show assuming the total charge to be 4900THB ($162 USD) which seemed like a good deal. Didnt expect to walk out paying almost $60 extra. They should've made the 10% service charge and the Still Water charge clear upfront. We asked for regular tap water. Still got the expensive Aqua Panna bottled water.

We were excited to go back to this place as in a past trip we enjoyed it very much. The disappointment was higher as our evening was ruined by the quality of the food and the bad and unfriendly service that we had. To start with, the waitress who took our order was very unpleasant and inefficient, she mixed up our orders and didn't want to take some of the ones we were choosing telling us that this was to spicy, in spite of our insistance, The food that we had was very badly cooked and one of us could not even eat the duck dish that she got. No good bye when we left, nothing. Never again. Worst experience so far in Bangkok. The only nice thing, the view on the river.

Arriving at the posh Mandarin Oriental, we boarded a boat and headed across the river to this performance hall with specially built dinner tables. The show included live music and extraordinary costumes with a brigade of talented musicians and dancers. The 9 course meal was inventive and used unusual ingredients. Each course with its own cutlery and plates to showcase the food. It was both beautiful and tasteful in every way. I'd highly recommend this experience.

Transfer by boat from Sathorn Pier uncomplicated and friendly. The artistic performance in the hall was of good quality, but the music was too loud. Individual blocks instead of a two-hour permanent program would have suited us more. The food didn't convince us. The portions were quite small, the meat did not taste good to us and the vegetarian alternatives served were unimaginative. The offered service does not do justice to the high price overall, so we unfortunately cannot recommend the offer.

Great location beside the river in Bangkok. Interesting, flavoursome food and attentive staff without overdoing it. Had a cocktail at the Mandarin Oriental hotel beforehand and then took the shuttle boat across the river to the restaurant! Only thing that needs to be modified is the confirmation text of the restaurant that they send: it says the shuttle is every hour, but in fact they run all the time!!

I had the joy of tasting a selection of Chef Pom's dishes. What a variety and richness of taste, subtil and surprising flavors. Special mention to the delivious panang curry, grilled fish and its exquisite sauce and the sophisticated fruit dessert. A very nice culinary experience. I definitely recommend.

Last night the restaurant re-opened for the first time after Covid. And it was an absolute pleasure! The food was excellent, a pleasure for your taste buds: tasteful, excquisite, refined and full of different flavours and textures! Our compliments for the staff but specially to the new chef, mr Jack. What a marvellous job for the first night! Apart from the food we also very, very much enjoyed the entertainment: beautiful music and superb dances. A re opening to be PROUD of! ❤️

A great night out, the show was very good, couldn’t hear the MC but otherwise very good. Device was attentive and food set menu very high standard. A little pricey and drinks just too expensive. But otherwise a great atmosphere and a good introduction for our friends to Bangkok and some mild Thai cuisine.

Closed for almost 3 years since covid, this thai restaurant finally reopened a few months ago I was here a few times pre covid and i liked the combination of good thai food with the traditional performances. Plus the novelty of taking the hotel boat across the river They have 2 set menus available and we chose the longer one with grilled river prawn. Very good dishes with very good service

This is considered be a fine dining dinner and dance event. It is probably the most expensive in the area. We found the show to be done nicely but the food selections left a lot to be desired. Maybe it's that the dinner is mass cooked and the flavors and textures are not optimal. Maybe it's that the food is very native and we just did not have the needed palate for it. We chose the 4 course meal and had 3 drinks. Cost came to about $300. Sorry to say it is not something I would do again here. Perhaps this needs to be rethought and maybe a completely different menu, possibly ala cart.
