We visited Vertigo on Friday 21st April. We were shown to our table in the middle of the roof top and we had spectacular views of Bangkok, it was a clear night and so the sunset was beautiful and the city lit up at night is one of my favourite skylines. Saw, our waiter introduced himself and was very attentive... More

Great place for a drink with a view. Drink prices are on the high side, but you're really paying for the view. It is worth it.

But you can go there with your GF/BF or Business partner or Wanna Feel like Socializing person and specially if you NoT SMOKING people. Price is : 3 times expensive than you pay in Thailand Bar outside. Service : they have nice staff but so slow... More

The place is at the top flour 56. Nice decorated and looking the city from birds fly is very nice. But, there is a big but: very crowded, most are not local (explains good the last point) the prices are extremely high. We paid 1,100 bat for one bottle of beer and vodka tonic. More expansive then in Israel. There... More

Booked here for dinner as we were staying at the Banyan Tree ( acommodation is faultless - see my other review ) Dinner here was good but not exceptional, and so expensive. We knew that before we went but still got bill shock at the end.(Two entrees , two drinks, two mains and two sides cost us AUD 340.00 and... More

Over-priced cocktails and food - although they were tasty. The view was spectacular, though. Worth it for one time experience!

This restaurant has beautiful view but the food is below average. I went for dinner with husband and in-laws and left the restaurant after eating entrees! We didn't care ordering main courses as we were very disappointed with quality and taste of our entrees. Worst of all the restaurant team didn't care when we gave poor feedback. We spent AU$900... The location, atmosphere and the view is quite amazing. The food however is generally quite average. Certain starters like the Tuna appear to be prepared in advance as are the complementary items. Servings of mains are quite generous but lacking in imagination. For 4 people be ready to spend £500 including two bottles of wine and water. No cocktails included... More

We arrived a bit before 6pm and had a drink at the Moon Bar beforehand to take in the amazing view and sunset. The bar has a strict dress code so make sure you dress appropriately. The staff are very friendly and we had a great time. The bar does fill up quickly. We then had dinner at Vertigo -... More

Friends over from uk are staying at the Banyan tree - decided to go and meet on the rooftop for a sunset gathering. The staff did not pay attention to the order and had a general lethargy about them. The gin and tonic was flat and lifeless, the Mexican beer was warm, the price of the aforementioned was absolutely insulting... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
