Bigger and better since the move a year ago. Choice of tables inside and out. Good German and Thai food. Plenty of choice on the menu. Big range of bottled beers. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff.

We ended up at G's by a fortunate accident, the hospitality and service was great. The owner is very approachable and loves a good chat. The food was above expectations and our kids named it one of the best in Bangkok. We had the venison with mash potato and an apple cake which was delicious as well. Definitely a must... More

After two weeks of eating like locals I needed some Western fare. And what better than German sausages and beer. It's a varied menu with a great selection of german and other beers. The owner pops over to check all is well, always a good sign. Highly recommended for dinner. Choice to sit inside or outside.

What a great array of German and other beer choices and a marvellous host to talk you through them. The meals were great and the service was excellent.

Best: Potato Cream with Smoked Salmon, Smoked Duck Breast, Baked Apple on Malibu Vanilla Foam. Most fun: the proprietor instantly becomes you best friend. My friend the former chef says, Best German restaurant ever - including in Germany!

Was looking for somewhere for dinner and although not a great fan of German cuisine (perhaps because I don't understand the menu) the exceptional reviews on Trip Adviser persuaded us to give G's a try. Phoned to book a table and the phone was answered by a very cheerful owner who took our reservation. Upon arrival the owner welcomed us... More

Was looking around for some decent German food in Bangkok for some time already and tried the usual suspects. Then we found G's which became our favourite. We will be back!

This was my first time to eat here. I am an Aussie and was with a German and a Thai friend. The owner/manager was really friendly and helpful without being intrusive. He pointed out that they stock every kind of bottled German beer you can get, although I partook of the house wine. The servings are very large and we... More

We set out on an evening organised by our conference to the gay area. We entered Soi 4 and found G's a fantastic German bar/ restaurant. The menu is thai and german and the food is excellent. The selection of beers is great. The prices are very good and the main attraction is the owner. He is really funny, great... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
