This was my first time to eat here. I am an Aussie and was with a German and a Thai friend. The owner/manager was really friendly and helpful without being intrusive. He pointed out that they stock every kind of bottled German beer you can get, although I partook of the house wine. The servings are very large and we... More

We set out on an evening organised by our conference to the gay area. We entered Soi 4 and found G's a fantastic German bar/ restaurant. The menu is thai and german and the food is excellent. The selection of beers is great. The prices are very good and the main attraction is the owner. He is really funny, great... More

I am German and stumbled upon this great Restaurant. Guido, the owner is very kind and serves true german food. He is a butcher from germany and knows how to make a good Wurst! It was a bit of a shame that we travled to Bangkok to eat local food but sometimes a bit of different taste to Thai food... More

Came here twice while in Bangkok. They have both German and Thai food but I only tried the German. Food was really good, go for the schnitzel! The owner is so friendly and has a good beer selection!

Exhaustive list of beers and the option to ordered Western European food. We didn't and opted for the Thai curries. Dishes were sweeter than we'd had elsewhere, perhaps less authentic in terms of both dining experience and decor. Still delicious, but not the best we'd had that week. Location is excellent, 3 mins walk from the Silom's biggest night market.... More

So glad we came here. I've never eaten at a German restaurant. The meal was one of the best meals I can remember having. Schnitezel and sausages are their specialty and you won't be let down. Plus the owner really makes it a fun night for everyone. He's great.

I really liked our meal here. We had a chicken scallop and a German sausage. I'd thoroughly recommend this restaurant and the owner was very polite and friendly too.

German and Thai menu both of which are good. Particularly liked the beef sausage with mashed potatoes which was on the specials menu. Large selection of drinks. The staff are all great and Gino the owner is especially friendly making the rounds from table to table. We went here twice during our 4 day trip.

Was having a drink on Silom Soi 4 and passed this welcoming looking German/Thai restaurant and we decided to try it. They had outdoor and indoor (A/C) seating and we chose indoor on a very sultry night. The interior styling of the restaurant transports you to northern Germany, except for the typical Asian A/C units near the ceiling. The tables... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
