Was dining alone, so they were nice to give me a separate dedicated table. Would recommend not to go for the set menu, if you know your Japanese food. Also would suggest not to go full a la carte, but go for the combo mains....I did a Miyazaki 200 gram with one jumbo shrimp combo, a three piece portion of the Sashimi, Miso Shiro for the soup, and plain rice as my a la carte selection. ( do ask for the separate sushi menu, as the main menu has a limited selection. the salad and some condiments come complimentary.
The Steak was excellent, just about the right marble amount of fat, perfectly done Medium rare as requested. The shrimp, again perfect. My chef for the evening was Somchai, who was excellent and perfectly understood what and how i wanted my meal done, and focused more on the food, rather than the usual Hibachi table stunts you see normally in these type of resturaunts.
The pace is pricey, you should expect to spend about USD 200-250 per head for a mean as above, and a couple of Scotches.
But well worth it.
General service was excellent, and every staff showed they really cared for your needs.
Only Negative, is that even though the resturaunt was half empty, there were 4 birthday tables during the time i was there, and the staff singing and tambourine can get quite annoying and distracting every 10-15 minutes. I think they can do this, but a bit quieter.More
