It was our friend's birthday and she chose this excellent Italian resto and bar tucked on a side street in Silom. We were given sparkling wine to start off and then we ordered our antipasti combination platter with all the cheeses and meat slices so delicioso! We ordered steak, risotto, seafood pasta and a pork dish and everyone raved about... More

I've lived in bangkok for 8 years and always been a big fan of Opus - not only do they consistently deliver excellence they also consistently improve on themselves - the number 1 Italian restaurant in Bangkok without a doubt. Huge and well detailed wine list. BRAVOOOOOOO!

This is a inner city (Pan Rd is off the Silom Rd CBD) fine dining Italian Restaurant. It is best and advisable to book. You should dress up a bit. It is an exquisite dining experience. Don't take the Kids, take just your partner. It is fantastic.

Opus offers a very charming comfortable ambience. The staff service is really good. The menu offers all variation of Italian recipes some vegetarian as well. I personally like the vegetarian pastas, the cold cuts plate and the bread always warm. I also enjoyed the Tomahawk steak. The wine selection is good.

I was recommended by Peninsular hotel concierge to Opus for dinner with friends. The waiter recommended Tomahawk Wague beef (3990 Baht per kg according to menu). After we made the order, the waiter told me the weight of the Wague beef is 1.4 kg which cost 5590 Baht. When the Tomahawk Wague was served to my table, I was totally... More

Normally we don’t reply to online reviews but once words like ‘cheated’ are involved, we find it absolutely necessary to do so. Here are some facts. The Tomahawk Wagyu steak has a big bone, hence its name. Uncooked it typically weighs 450 grams of a standard 1,400 gram steak. Similar to a T-bone steak. The weight of the bone is... More

As SS_ mentioned, the manger Tony's carelessness & attitude just wrecked a great meal and the whole experience. As the old adage goes 'A stitch in time...' It was the first time I was dinning there... and just amazed how unashamedly the Manager responded when he could have easily taken prompt corrective steps to save the day. What a philosophy... More

I have visited Opus a number of times over the years and have never had cause for complaint. Tonight's experience changed that completely. I dined with an old friend and we had a satisfying meal and a good bottle of wine. At the end of our meal we asked for an Irish coffee and an espresso. The waiter who was... More

This place serves wonderful Italian food at high prices. Especially the wine we found rather expensive, but the wine list is good. The salmon cubes as a starter are to be recommended same as the tagliata of beef for the main course. The restaurant is usually well visited so reservations are recommended.

Excellent food and even better service. The only small thing that they can improve upon is to serve slightly slower. Otherwise it was perfect including the picture of The Boss! Cheers

Tucked into a residential side street, Opus is definitely worth a visit. The wine bar at the front has been rebranded and just behind is the restaurant. As well as an outstanding cellar of Italian wines, the food is superb. The usual Italian breads greet you at the table with an extensive cocktail list to start the meal. The homemade... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
