in the middle of the vibrant sukhumvit soi 11 the „amritsr“ is like a little indian island. once you enter the door and be welcomed by friendly indian staff and typical indian music, you feel like in dehli, mumbai or kolkuta. but not only the staff is indian. most of the guests are. and that is always a sign that the food is excellent. and indeed it was!
you can pick anything from the menue and it is tasty, and of very good quality. obviously cooked with passion. we ordered 10 different dishes but two i want to highlight.... the chicken tondoori and the chicken curry. but you also should try a dish with goat or fish. what ever you pick it will be very good in taste.
the „amritsr“ is now a secret tip yet a reservation is required. enjoy! we did and we come back.

This is a Michelin grade restaurant.. out of the world kulchas, chhole, butter chicken and all others.. all priced very reasonably, probably one of the BEST Indian (punjabi) restaurant in the world better than any in India for sure. So, when in Bangkok do yourself a favor, go have a Breakfast of piping hot Kulchas with Chhole (do order a side of yogurt ), then take a tour of Bangkok and come back for dinner ... where a platter of Butter chicken and garlic naan await you.. Keep it up Amritsr dont let your guards down.. and oh yes.. the staff gets 10 stars.. always smiling and ready to please... Dont Miss this treat while in bangkok

We’ve eaten in the restaurant before and had a lovely meal. Tonight we had a takeaway which was fab. It was very easy to order on the website and the restaurant answered my delivery query really promptly via WhatsApp. The ‘track your order’ facility was great so I knew when the food would arrive. The dishes were tasty - particularly the chicken tawa which was cooked in the way that we had requested online (you can write requests to the chefs.) We will definitely be using the delivery service again. Thank you :)

This place is tucked away in an opening in Soi 11 across from the Aloft hotel. It’s part of what looks like a new center set back from the street.
It’s only about a year old.
First thing is that the service was outstanding. The servers were attentive and super friendly. They took time to really make you feel like you were being catered to like you were in their home.
Secondly, the food was fantastic. I’ve had I dian food all over the world and their Biryani had a flavor I have never tasted before. It was subtle but just amazing. The quality of the food was exceptional and if it matters to you, the decor was tasteful and very elegant. They definitely did not spare expense on the build out.
A lot of great Indian food in t he area, but this was by far the best.
Try the Tandoori Masala Shrimp!

Across the world it is often a challenge finding authentic punjabi food, with only a limited number of restaurants making the cut for me.
This is certainly one of them.
The food is exceptional and rich in flavour, beautifully presented and served in a timely manner. The waitstaff are knowledgable and deserving of the highest praise.
I can only hope that they open a branch in London in the near future!

We came here for dinner. It was delicious. We loved it. Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Tikka were the best. Mushroom Tikka was also recommended.
The waiter, Deepak, was so nice, ambitious, and helpful with the menu we were not familiar with.
We will come back again for our third time.

I really fancied an Indian for dinner tonight but could not justify going to the Rang Mahal, which is our usual choice, on my own. Instead I chose to go the Amritsr restaurant on Soi 22. It is pretty easy to find just as soon as you turn off Sukhumvit.
All the staff were very welcoming and looked very smart in their traditional Punjab clothes. The restaurant itself is quite small and not the best decorated but it does have a cosy feel. I would recommend booking a table.
The menu was quite smart looking but did not really explain what was in each dish other than telling you if it was meat, or chicken or vegetarian (there was a good selection of these, by the way). As I did not recognise a lot of the dishes and I wanted to be adventurous, I just picked some that I did not know. These turned out to be really good choices!
For a starter I ordered Murg Dahi Lahsooni Tikka. I asked my young waiter, Mr. Dev and he explained that it is pieces of chicken, marinated in spices, stuffed with yoghurt and cooked in a tandoor oven. Absolutely, delicious and big enough for two people as a starter.
I then had Chicken Lababdar and Saffron Rice. I shied away from ordering the garlic naan as I thought I might have eyes bigger than my belly and I was right! The food comes in copper dishes and I was given a traditional tray to eat from, rather than a plate. This makes a lot of sense if you are eating with friends and order several different dishes and naans to sample together.
All in all, I have to say, honestly, this was about the best Indian food I have ever, ever eaten. Served hot, the portions were generous and great value. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The place may not be so attractive but that will not matter to you once you taste their food!
Finally, I have to say, they do take-aways, deliveries and all with a 25% discount.

This place was a great find and I am glad I got to know about it. The menu is well thought of and the food is delicious. Don't let the outside appearance and the location fool you, they serve great Indian food with authentic flavours! I came here for dinner and the vegetarian biryani was fantastic.Good portions too. I also found out that they open early for breakfast so I will try the aloo kulchas with cholle one of these days for breakfast.
Special shout out to Pooja. Great service with a smile. I will definitely be back!

Goodness gracious me. I know a lot of Indian Restaurants are infamous for submitting false TA reviews to improve their rating, but Amritsar is undeniably the best restaurant in Bangkok, possibly in the world - I think it deserves at least 3 Michelin stars.
From the moment you walk in to the opulent surroundings and are greeted by the silver service waiting staff, you know you are in a high class establishment and in for a jolly good treat oh yes indeed!
The menu is exotic and tempting and the taste of the food absolutely beyond belief. In fact everything about this place is totally unbelievable!! Just go and you will see what I mean

As the covid19 come around again my mind still search for a food haven and today it is Indian cuisine I crave for. It just a coincidence that I found this place as I browsing through google map randomly the maharaja worthy? Is it just a brag? I’m ready to find out. Read some quick review I found that kulcha is the must so I order one “kulcha mutton with gravy” it is like a crispy pie with mutton chop inside and some touch of spice very delicious I thought next dish is “Amritsari fish masala” this too is great I love the freshness of the fish and the taste is really exclusively for the maharaja. I finish the meal with ravy the condense milk custard and chai tea every thing is so marvelous and make me forget the tension of epidermic for a while if you want to spend and evening eating like maharaja this is the place to go thanks to sanjay the staff who serve me this grateful evening

We have used the restaurant for delivery on several occasions. The food is unbelievably tasty and so rich in flavour. Portions are a great size, the menu is extensive and the service is always impeccable. Worth every penny. Delicious.

Soi 22 has a number of Indian restaurants - as has Bangkok - but we thought we'd go for one with very good reviews. And we were not disappointed! The food at Amritsr was excellent, the ambience was comfortable, and the service was superb. A lovely young lady, Pooja, waited on us - her recommendations were spot on, and we really loved it that she was such a gracious host. Will eat here again, for sure, next time we're back.

Wonderful service, delicious food. HUGE mango lassi! Very delicious palak paneer, butter chicken, saffron rice, naan and bhindi masala as well. The waiter was very attentive and checked to make sure food was to our liking.

We enjoyed the time we have here in this restaurant.
The restaurant serves very authentic Indian dish as if we were in India.
The service was excellent conducted by SanJay he has a very good attitude and very service minded.

Excellent food and service.
The restaurant have a limited space but I love the restaurant’s warm environment, the fresh cooked Indian food smells gave a very warm welcome when you walked right. The staffs were friendly, the food’s presentation were excellent and with a very reasonable price.
