Went there for my first lunch after reaching Bangkok. The food is of good quality and the Tom yum soup was good, not that spicy. For people who prefers very spicy type, this may not be the place. Green curry and other dishes are good too Overall service is average.

The food was good, although not overwhealming, but the service was rather disappointing. The waiters all look very tired and bored and don't do much to make you feel welcome. This is a large restaurant with many waiters, but even if there were few guests, it was very difficult to get their attention. They all seemed to watch something at... More

Food average, staff not smiling, unfriendly.. Never say a word when they pass you the dishes! Their gin tonic is the worst in my life!

very nice food (fresh and not too oily), great atmosphere, bit more expensive but I think worth it. Staff was very friendly. They had performances including music and dancers (traditional thai) which was very entertaining

Our hotel was about 5-7mins walk to Mango Tree. We didn't have a reservation however the staff were able to get us seated within a few minutes. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Between my boyfriend and I we orderes a few dishes fried rice in pineapple, noodles, red curry with chicken and another chicken dish. I also had... More

We read the reviews here an decided to go there. We were happily surprised, great service and good food! Chicken satay was yummy however I found about 8 pieces of fat in it - that's usually something that bothers me so if you have an issue, you may not want to order this dish. The baked fried rice inside of... More

The restaurant is very nicely decorated ang also outside sitting area is very nice, Service was very good, so in general nothing to complain. Prices are also reasonable, but the food was just ok. We tried the days before some other Thai restaurants in the area and for us the Mango tree food was not up to this standards, but... More

Like many of the nicely decorated thai restaurant in old houses that my thai friends would bring foreigners to, Mango Tree, under the Cocoa Group, didn't fail. It was quite full with Japanese diners, one table unusually loud. There is alfresco dinning too. Service was prompt, attentive and food was good. Suitable for foreigners. For my thai friend, he felt... More

I have gone several times to Mango Tree in past visits to Bangkok and always enjoyed it. It is a small restaurant with an outdoor patio nestled in an alley past Silom (heads up depending on what path you take to it you may walk by PatPong market which you may or may not enjoy). It seems to be a... More

Yes, it's a chain restaurant. Yes, you can get similar food from a street stall for a fraction of the price, but this place is nice. Service excellent. Garden tables are peaceful. Food is good and martinis are excellent. I had a lovely long lunch here on my own with my book.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
