My boyfriend and I visited China House last June. We did the weekend brunch on Sunday which came with free flowing wine at only around €35!!! Dim Sum could be ordered from the menu and there was also an amazing buffet! The interior was beautiful too. We felt transported into a different world! What an amazing place!

We found the Saturday lunch/brunch to be brilliant value with great service and excellent a la carte options aswell as a decent buffet selection. A really enjoyable experience and we will be back when next visiting Bangkok. Thank you.

The sweet & sour pork was served in a melon with some incredible fruit & even prunes. Pork finely sliced in a most delicate light batter. Now that is an ordinary dish. Try some of the many others. My wife & I were previously there 5 years & the somelier asked if we would like the same Riesling as we had... More

This is our third time back at this restaurant. The service was consistently good which was typical and expected of Mandarin Oriental's standard. - We ordered our usual favourites but a couple of dishes missed the mark - wasabi prawn dish had too much wasabi which made it overpowering. We had this dish previously and the amount of wasabi was... More

They serve the best peking duck the original way. Go for the first in the menu that is served with both meat and skin and pancake . Dont order too many dishes as it is big portion , wine a bit pricy but good

We stay at the Oriental quite frequently and have dined at The China House on several occasions and have always had wonderful meals. This time, however, this was not the case. We ordered starters followed by Peking Duck, served with pancakes initially and then with a black pepper sauce. While the food was delicious as always, the pace of service... More

I had unlimited dimsum for lunch here on weekdays. Pros: nice interior, food is just about the... More

At the foot of the driveway of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel this is a fine dining Chinese restaurant. Well prepared and nicely presented this is an eatery you'd consider even if you weren't a Mandarin hotel guest. The waiter/staff will assist you in choosing an appetizer/entrée to your liking. (If you are at the Peninsula or other hotel across the... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
