Crowded and loud - not my cup of tea - hard to figure out where to eat - too bad they don't shut down the street from cars.

We visited Chinatown on a weekday and it was super busy. We love it! We came here for dinner, and must have spent a few hours just looking around. The street food was great! Went for our main meal at a restaurant then just picked...More

Definitely an area one should visit on a trip to Bangkok. We spent a busy Saturday night there and it was a balmy evening of sights sounds and smells. Loads of street vendors fresh fruit stalls and tourist shops - the only thing to note...More

Except a few blocks with lights that reminded me of Hong Kong. If you've been anywhere in China, Taiwan, etc.,, you might get feel disappointed. The food is nothing exceptional also. Maybe I need to go earlier on day instead of going in the night.

The swirling of different people objects foods surely is interesting but don't waste too much time on it. For a 2-3 hours afternoon it's ok.

Chinatown Bangkok is impressive, must visit it at night (because of the traffic). The ambient is special, with the lightning, olors, etc. It is safe to visit it at night.

We ventured into Chinatown after visiting Wat Raimit, which is close by. Chinatown is the usual hustle and bustle, like anywhere around the world. If you go down the side soi's, you'll enter very packed streets full of people and vendors selling anything from Chinese...More

This area in the old part of Bangkok is just a good place to wander through, especially if you have never been to China. The buildings are a mixture of colonial styles and are now home to a lot of wholesale companies. Fake shark's fin...More

I took a cab to Chinatown (100 baht) to take some photos. I walked around with my tripod & camera and shot away! Got some great shots that portray the heart of this area and felt safe and had a unique experience that most tourists...More

Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions,
this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many.
Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi
Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the
plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a
night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's
worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers
on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop
