This restaurant has great buffets for lunch, when we visited as a large business group. The buffet had a great selection of Sushi and seafood. The pork grill was also superb.
The restaurant which part of the Mandarin Oriental hotel has great views of Chao Praya River. There was also large desert selection.

What should I start from?
Reservation a week before the exact day for 10th year anniversary celebration.
Decide to go for 4 course set with salted sea bream.
initially, wan to order extra 2 appetisers but glad that the waiter indicated that maybe I should cancel them.
Though it is still too much in the end, the whole experience is wonderful.
We are given a seat facing iconSiam.
they helped us to spilt soup into 2 and some served two.
There are additional appetisers given as well.
A pot of tea for 1, they brought extra cup.
even a free celebration cake and pack for us cos we are too full to eat at the spot.
what can i really say?
I think that they deserve my own “Michelin” Star.

Lord Jim's, located in the beautiful Mandarin Oriental restaurant in Bangkok, was a delightful dining experience! Although Lord Jim's was a full service restaurant on my previous visit, the change to buffet did not disappoint!
The freshness and variety of options could compete with the best buffets in Las Vegas. The seafood selection of cooked/chilled ranged from shrimp, crab, muscles, lobster, oysters. They provided an abundance of sashimi, including sweet scallops and clams. Sushi was plentiful, and they did not hesitate to customize for individual preferences.
They offered pasta's, dim sum, tempura, and a number of Thai specialty items. The carving station included beef, lamb, and chicken. Plenty of salad and side dishes to accompany anything you chose as an entree. The dessert selection was extensive and filled with a variety of delicious treats (so, make sure to save roim)!

The colonial-style décor, with its high ceilings, polished wood, and crisp white linens, exudes a sense of old-world charm. The seafood selection was particularly impressive, featuring the freshest catches presented on glistening ice beds.
For meat lovers, the lamb loin served with grilled onions deserves special mention. The cut was incredibly tender, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying grilled onions added a touch of sweetness and caramelized depth, making each bite a delightful combination of textures and tastes.

Lord Jims located in the iconic Mandarin Oriental overlooking the Chao Praya river is definitely worth a visit. Its sumptuous buffet lunch whilst overlooking the teeming river traffic is a great way to enjoy the best of Bangkok. The buffet changes regularly but offers n impressive range of local and international options. A fun outing.

In my opinion, this is one of the best buffet in Bangkok, of course with the higher price. Booking in advance . If you come with group of 4 , choose the table with river view. Highlights are Dim Sum, Suckling pig, Foie gras, Grilled River Prawn, Mango Sticky Rice, assorted sushi & rolls, pasta, TomYum Soup with prawn and much more. Service is really fast & attentive. You can stay here from noon to 3pm so don’t be too rush.

We’ve been a customer of the brunches for over thirty years including multiple times when we resided at the Oriental during a three month stay in 2002 . The tiered dining arrangement allows all to have a delightful River view. The service is impeccable. The brunch is among the best in the world. We’ve eaten at most Bangkok brunches and a vast number of brunches on all continents. Lord Jim’s brunches are our favorite ..extremely high high quality. Many cuisines. Multiple varieties. On many occasions I’ve noticed for instance twelve to fifteen varieties of smoked fish. Thai,Japanese,Continental,Indian and Chinese foods of impeccable quality. It would take months to savor a small amount of all. We dress appropriately when dining. A jacket is not required but a man would want to wear a nice shirt,trousers and possibly a tie. Of cause no flip flop sandals or the huge rubber shoes named trainers. Highly recommend. Well mannered children of ours were welcomed. Highly recommended for an exquisite brunch. Dinner time dining is similarly exquisite.

This is one of our favourite places to eat in Bangkok and we were delighted to return following a few years of not being able to visit. Excellent choice of dishes at the buffet including some amazing deserts. We were celebrating our anniversary and we were treated to our special cake. It was kindly boxed to take with us. The service was incredible. All the staff were very kind and so caring. I felt a little cold, one of the staff noticed that so they lent me a scarf. How generous they were. Also, all the food is so unreal. Ultimately, they kindly gave us another gorgeous cake to celebrate my late and my mate’s early birthday meal. I would thousand per cent recommend everyone visiting this restaurant.

The ambiance, food and service were impeccable. The restaurant management all came and introduced themselves, you felt genuinely welcome. Unfortunately Khin Krit was off that night, but he made sure we received a welcome glass of champagne, and apparently phoned in to ensure our evening was going well. A great gesture but not needed as Khun Arin and staff took such good care of us. Head chef, Khun Nick, also came to our table, introduced himself, made recommendations, and offered some fresh Irish oysters to sample, along with a special condiment he prepared for us at the table. All waiters and waitresses gave excellent service, along with a smile !!!
Our dinner was superb, and recommend the butterflied sea bass. We left the restaurant, the last customers, totally content and very full. There is no better place than to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Lord Jims.

This is very good and elegant restaurant with a nice view on the river. When I was here last time for a dinner, there was an option to have dinner either a la carte or a buffet.
Buffet which was available for dinners was in my opinion one of the best in the World. However now, when you have a dinner here, only a la cart option is available. Nothing to complain about quality, choice or service. Moreover everything was fine, but … I still remember unforgettable dinner with parallel buffet option. Maybe one day the management will decide to come back to the previous solution.

I had not been at Lord Jim’s for a very long time, and as it had been refurbished since then, it looked very different, I was positively surprised. We had a table at the window with the panoramic view of the river, so beautiful in the evening. As it was Christmas evening the restaurant was packed, and the open kitchen very busy. We had a few appetizers such as scallops, various vegetables, all so fresh and tasty. The tenderloin steak was the best I have ever tasted, the tuna steak was excellent too. In short, the quality of food is so good that the price is justified. It was a perfect dinner, great ambiance and impeccable service.

Located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Lord Jim's is definitely the most exciting brunch/lunch spot amongst any riverside restaurants here in Bangkok.
Came here for lunch to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, the food is simply fantastic; seafood apetizer and platter is elegant and delicate, amazing fresh made ravioli, super tender beef cheeks braised in deep wine sauce topped with shallots and bacon is not to be missed. The salted caramel biscuit with whipped popcorn cream is the perfect finish to the meal. Service here is undoubtedly 5 star and personalized, which is what makes this place the best of the best.
If you are looking for a special dining experience with solid food and drinks, or a casual weekend brunch with friends, this is certainly the place not to be missed.

First time here and i like it.
Due to Covid 19, the restaurant have changed from buffet to all you can eat order from menu.
Pros: freshly cook food, no need to walk, social distancing.
Cons: limited choice, you cannot choose the pieces you like
Overall impression: most of the food is delicious and super fresh. Staff service is above average.
Thank you khun Waraporn (if im remember her name correctly) for a little chit chat and nice service at my table.
