They are good in dumpling, different kind of dumpling you can have. Only thing is if you wish not to Waite for long, you have to go in early hours, never go near lunch and dinner time. You will see crowns of people there!t

We couldn’t miss this place once we came out from the metro. An international crowd was buzzing an entrance to this multi-stories restaurant. We walked up to take a number and the restaurant organized three distinct queues for 1-2, 3-5 and 6+ lines. Our number...More

Tried different types of dumplings: tryffel filled, shrimp filled, pork filled. Also tried the beef soup and a salad. The dumplings was the best! Went lunch time a Friday and got a shared table directly.

Lovely location. Many small shops and boutiques in the vicinity. Similar menu to the rest of the branches around the world. Long queue outside. Nice mango ice shavings shop just round the corner.

I did my due diligence and checked TripAdvisor before we went. Per some awesome TripAdvisor tips, we went at an offpeak time (3pm on a weekday) and there was no line whatsoever. Dumplings were great, can't say they blew my mind though. No complaints, would...More

I ate at Din Tai Fung several times during our stay in Taipei. It was by far the best dumpling restaurant I've ever visited. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was quaint and not too hectic considering the queues outside. The staff was friendly. I...More

It takes a lot of patience for someone to get a seat in this extremely popular Taiwanese restaurant. And with the first bite of their dish, you would easily forget the time you waited and realize that it is indeed worth the wait. There are...More

I ordered their famous xiaolongbao - I felt the skin was too thick, the soup not fragrant enough, and the meat not marinated enough. A tad disappointed... I also had their steamed prawn-pork dumplings, which I felt was quite average. The dry chilli noodles was...More

I have eaten in 3 of their restaurants, the main one in Taipei and the 2 in Arcadia California, just outside of Los Angeles, and I still prefer Taipei over the other 2 that are ALMOST as good, but the Taipei restaurant taste just a little bit better. Its probably the Taiwanese homeland ingredients thats not available in the USA. Is this possible?

I was told by our tour guide that Taipei locations use fresh not frozen ingredients hence better tasting XLBs. Crab XLBs are absolutely phenomenal.
