Even though this place can be quite busy since it has playground full of children and quite often they organize events such as craft markets it's still the best place for Sunday brunch. They offer wide range of breakfast/brunch meals accompanied by delicious coffee and fresh juices. You cannot leave before trying one of their famous cakes!

Been coming here since early 2013, and its one of those places that I'll always go to because I know they are good at what they do. If we are making plans with my peoples and they are being indecisive, I'll probably go so why don't we just go back to Prunes yo!? I like that they finally grew their... More

One of the best places to get good healthy food in Kampala, its also a great place to work, or write. Serves the most amazing breakfast, and the farmers market on Saturday is a go to. Something you need to try is there steak sandwich, and the Wednesday salad bar! Worth it every time I am there!

I've been there several times - spending few hours after check-out from the hotel nearby. Its a popular spot, a lot of expats and locals. Drinks are good.Food is decent, though no complaits on quality. Nice place to spend an hour but not a must-see.

The eggs florentine was terrible. The hollandaise sauce was the glutinous mess completely inedible. The bread was not toasted and soggy. The 'spinach' which is actually chard that had the inedible stalks with it. The egg taco had absolutely no flavor. Do they have salt and pepper back there in the kitchen? Wow with the ingredients they could do so... More

Prunes has become one of the most popular hangouts in Kampala for the expatriate community. It hosts a popular and pleasant Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, and it was even voted the best "casual dining" restaurant at Kampala Restaurant Week. And it's not a bad place to eat during the week, when it's quiet, but on Saturdays at least, it's... More

Prunes has fast service and a fresh menu as well as excellent staff. Great coffee, brunch, pastries and salads. My favorite meal is hunger at steak (steak sandwich) and deep friend mozarella sticks. They have a great play area for the kids as well as a variety of delicious cupcakes to choose from. It is centrally located so makes for... More

Description
Prunes introduces the first concept eatery in Kampala, bringing together taste, experience, freshness and design. It was created to gather the cosmopolitan community of Kampala and invite people to enjoy local, fresh produce. At Prunes, we offer an authentic experience through our healthy menu, as well as friendly atmosphere. We are focused on detail and quality: our house blend coffee is tested and approved by Africa’s barista champion, who has also trained our staff. Ingredients come freshly picked from various farms and the cupcakes are known to be mouthwatering. Our garden provides a break from the busy streets of Kampala and ensures a quiet, relaxed dining experience for our clients. Prunes also offers catering services as well as events and meetings facilities, with free wi-fi. Take aways and deliveries are also available, making us the ideal choice for 'on the go' people. Come check us out on Wampewo Avenue, next to the Kololo Airstrip.
