The terrace is a favorite photo spot for those staying at the Victoria Falls hotel. You are first attracted by the view of the bridge that connects Zimbabwe to Zambia. When the wind is right you will see the sprays from the falls and maybe a glimpse of a rainbow.

We thoroughly enjoyed the times we had afternoon tea and dinner on the terrace. Food was very good as was the service and the view over the gardens. There is a good choice for afternoon tea and also for the snacks and dining menu for the evening's.

We were staying in Zambia, so walked over the bridge into Zimbabwe to try the" High Tea "on the Stanley Terrace & it was worth every little bit of effort & expense. The walk was about 30 mins from the Zambian border post & it was $30USD per adult for the on the spot Zimbabwe visa. (Just be aware you'll need... More

Probably a bit "colonial' for this day and age but still the best high tea in sub saharan Africa. And a view that takes some beating. And ideal way to finish a day of wandering around the falls while planning dinner (a small one probably).

We had a lovely high tea sitting on the terrace of the Victoria Falls Hotel whilst looking out at the bridge in the distance. The colonial feel and being able to see the mist of the falls in the distance made it even more special. The high tea food was lovely and we substituted our tea for champagne. A definite... More

We went there for the tea experience. The setting is quite nice. We paid 30usd for a set of pastries and sandwiches. About 9 pieces per person. Two of each one: chicken, cucumber, salmon and prawn on the salty side, one plain and one raisins scone with jam and cream, and cakes: vanilla, chocolate, almonds on the sweet side. The... More

Our party of 6 had booked in for afternoon tea some weeks in advance to our visit, but when we arrived they could not find our booking. We were asked to give the staff 15 minutes to set up a table for us so we went for a stroll around the beautiful grounds. We returned and were seated on the... More
