La Cour de Lion is located on the 3rd floor of the Es Saadi Palace, with an inside area in a palace-like Arab style and a terrace, offering views over the hotel grounds and the outskirts of Marrakech. The menu focuses on Moroccan cuisine, but upscale both in terms of preparation and presentation. It definitely was the best Moroccan meal... More

I was in Marrakech recently and had an opportunity to dine at the restaurant. We had heard very wonderful things about it, and La Cour de Lions did not disappoint. Everything was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the harira soup and the lamb shank dish There are a lot of fine dining restaurants in the city, but this was by far... More

Located in the penthouse of the Es Saadi Palace in Marrakech, this restaurant exceptionally channels the Moroccan ambiance of the Palace, and is an architectural masterpiece. Beautiful carved stone mimics lace, as sculpted plaster adorns the columns. The terrace view is a panorama of the lights of West Marrakech, a sight to see in the evening. I enjoyed a wonderful... My wife and I ate here twice during a recent stay at the Palace, The food was superb - beautiful flavours and great quality, served in a lovely setting by some of the most helpful staff you could ever meet. We will return soon.

We ate here multiple times during our week long stay. The Moroccan food was delicious - not a massive menu but the harira soup was superb, desserts were nice and all the tajines we tried were great. Highly recommended. Upmarket prices.

The photos do not do this restaurant justice. The Palace in which the restaurant is situated is fabulous. A jewel of architectural excellence with limited covers and intricate detailed stone carving with views over the gardens. Try the Moroccan multi dish salad, it blew me away and included a dish of radish with argon oil dressing. It isn't cheap but... More

La cour des Lions is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant, and you'll want to take pics of everyting. Thankfully, we had a late table so hopefully, we didn't disturb too many guests with our incessant snapshots. The food is delicious (go for the full selection of moroccan salads!), and the portions almost a bit too generous. But what really stands out... More

We ate there on two occasions - 29 December and 1 January. The place was extremely quiet, with the atmosphere sadly lacking. On the second visit, I suggested they should light all the candles on the dining tables to create a better ambiance. They lit one! Having said all that, the staff were delightful and the food was good.
