3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had dinner here and did not have a reservation. The garden is probably very nice during the day, but it is cold at night. This does not make for a good dining experience. The food was at best average.

Over priced and not very good Bessara was tasteless. Tajine tasteless. Grilled sardines were good. Enjoyed wifi.

This is hands down the best place I've eaten in Morocco. The staff is so friendly and helpful. A must do when you are in Fez

We made advanced reservation and ordered pigeon which is Fes specialty and required two days preparation. It was delicious but on a sweet side. Price was very reasonable and very good service. They even sent someone to guide us both ways.

Great place! The terrace is fantastic for a break and relaxation. Food is good Marrocan with some original touches. Servers are polite and helpful. Improvement could be the waiting time, we had to wait quite a bit for a salad dish.

We stayed here for 5 nights trying 3 rooms. Our favourites would be the ones upstairs by the terrace and by the roof top (although that one encounters steep stairs). The one on the ground floor we found to pick up the most noise in the early evening which could be problematic if you go to bed early. The restaurant... More

Not inexpensive but a good value. We especially enjoyed the dark chocolate mousse with Ras El Hanoot (curious but delicious) and the raspberry panna cotta, which had us trading and retrading dishes as we debated which flavor we wanted to be the last to linger on the tongue.

It's a spacious restaurant with an outside garden, a nice place to chill .. The waiter was very friendly! They greeted us with some nibbles (almonds, olives, olive oil, and bread) and we started with some refreshing drinks before ordering, I had the cold date milk which was very good! The menu was interesting and we decided to share so... More

We ate with a large group, and oh boy the Ruined Garden's customer service is amazing. The food is average+, the decor is amazing, location is amazing and portions more than enough. we paid 275 Dirhams for full meal. It included appetizers, soup (which was okay) and several entrees. The staff treated us like royalties. When you travel you want... More

I had 2 dinners and a lunch there. The food is fresh and you can see the cook from the restaurant. the place is charming with trees, fountain, etc. Perfect place for lovers but possible to be on the side, with family. Fireplace available too.

Description
The cafe/restaurant is in the ruins of a courtyard house in the ancient imperial city of Fez. (Some signs will direct you downhill to us from Batha) Serving street foods, cakes and pastries, fresh juices (eg watermelon and date and orange blossom milk) and Modern Moroccan lunches & dinners. The emphasis is on fresh local produce, some of which is grown in the garden. When it is hot there is shade and sun hats, when cold or wet there is a salon with a log fire looking out into the garden, though when wet reservations essential. Situated 5 minutes from Talaa Seghira and the same distance from Batha. No alcohol I am sorry to say. We offer an escort service to and from your accommodation within the medina, though call in advance to arrange it.
