I have not been, nor will I go. Because I cant afford to go abroad, I tell you this. I had a flight which i sat next to Najete, the nur chef itself, the restaurant is named after her wonderful little girl. A guy recognised Najete and this is what he said; I been to places, many i should say,... More

Nur is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Not only is chef Najat the sweetest and kindest woman I've met, but she can truly pack a punch in her food as well. Chef Najat took us on a culinary journey that we'll never forget. Along with the great food, she also has an exceptional staff that catered to... More

lovely tasting menu - the night we went it was a lot of seafood, which was a great break from the tagine/couscous scene. The portions were perfect so you don't feel stuffed at the end. Great, reasonably priced wine list. We got to meet the chef and tour the kitchen. Everything was great, and the service was lovely. The restaurant... More

Go to Nur for a fun, personal dining experience and a welcome respite from typical Moroccan food. The ambience is calming and contemporary, the service is warm and sincere, and the food is a bit heartier than molecular gastronomy while still being complex and lively. TIP: We easily found our way using Google maps and walking through the medina and... More

Tired of only eating tagines and couscous while in Morocco? Want something a bit more upscale and adventurous? If so, this place is for you! An incredibly inventive menu that is inspired by the head chef's upbringing and the seasonal produce available in the market that day, plus a wine list that is as good as you'll find anywhere in... We went to Nur for a special dinner - too many complicated tiny dishes badly executed - eg icy gratin on a salad not remotely related to the chef's supposed Mexican training. Not to mention sweet chocolate sauce covering cardboard like chicken posing as Chicken Mole. Then the waiters capped the whole experience in that neither of them spoke French... More

Wow do I wish we had listened to the poor reviews of this place before we went. Thinking this was Numero 7 we excitedly booked a table and only later learned the restaurant had changed hands. Despite the few negative reviews here, we decided to give it a try. The whole experience was a huge disappointment. Full disclosure - we... More

You just do not expect to find such food in the medieval medina. You just DO NOT!! And yet it does exists now. Innovative, modern, interesting and tasty - What else can one want in their cuisine? Ohh yeah i know what - Its not Tajine ;) While there are some restaurants that serve other non-Moroccan (Usually French) food none... More

First things first we should fes up that we booked thinking it was number 7. It has however changed hands and you never can tell what you find behind those small doors. Charles, very hospitable, explained the menu, though it became apparent from other guests that the fixed 7 coarse tasting menu was not that fixed. The kids ( not... More

From the moment my girlfriend and I walked in the experience was just perfect. Very friendly and personable. The 7 course taster menu is fantastic and every dish was in our opinion excellent . The desert is a miracle of culinary science . A lot of care and passion is put into this food , that is very clear. Thank... More
