We were in Fes for 4 days and kept coming back to Chez Said (3 days in a row). The couscous was delicious, the tagine chicken was tasty and the pastilla was perfect. The restaurant has a good location where one can watch people passing by. Very hospitable owner and staff. Would love to go back one day.

We ate a menu (Marrocan salad, Vegetarian tajine, Orange) and Couscous. In addition, we also got bread, olives and even a lentil soup for free. The food was very good and really cheap (120 Dirham with service). The square is a bit busy but the waiter were really friendly and laid-back.

Since 5 years we eat the excellent pastilla Chez Said in the Old Medina. It is by far the best we ever ate in a Restaurant in Morocco. Always freshly prepaired. 60 MAD = 6 Euro. As amuse geule you get some olives and a lentil soup.

After being touted into Chez Said restaurant, he immediately promoted his vegetarian options. I ordered the set meal for 70dirhams. The meal started with the Lental soup which was honestly 10/10! Then my vegetarian tagine swiftly followed my soup, I was enjoying the dish until I noticed small pieces of meat in the dish, I quickly told the waiter &... More

Food was okay, as was service - nothing special just like your other classic Moroccan dishes that was widely available. When we paid it came out to be 15MAD more than what we ate, questioned the owner about it and he said "service charge" - this wasn't stated anywhere... Also, this was our last meal in our 1 week stay... More

I'm in love with Chez Said! Our driver, Reda, recommended this restaurant on our first day in Fez. We were so warmly welcomed and the food was so amazing we went back EVERY day! Each time our table was filled with more and more local delicacies, laughter and delightful conversation. We are already dreaming of returning and sharing a spectacular... More

This is one of those restaurants without stock. After you've placed your order you'll notice various staff walking to other shops. One has gone to the butchers (50 - 60 m away) to get your meats, another will go to the corner shop (within sight of your seat) to get whatever soft drinks you've ordered (no alcohol here). The food... More

We stopped there to eat the dinner. There are many same types eateries in that area and they all have comparable menu and prices. We've ordered two set menus: lentil soup, beef tajine with prunes, almonds and sesame and a chicken tajine.plus moroccan sweets for the dessert and a mint tea. Everything was very tasty but the beef tajine was... More

We loved this place -- excellent food, wide selection, very affordable, and a nice front-row seat to the people-watching in the medina. Said himself is a hospitable and good-natured guy. You are going to be having plenty of tajine meals in Morocco anyway, so you might as well have one that's as good as most other places at a lower... More
