My wife wanted to visit this restaurant to reminder her of the Casablanca movie. The restaurant was packed and was modeled after the movie, having opened in 2004. Food and service was good. The place is mainly for tourists as I did not see any...More

Reading the reviews on this place is a bit frustrating. These days, it seems someone always has something to complain about. Ricks cafe is a beautiful restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. The food is tasty, the decor is wonderful and the music in the...More

Ok, everyone knows that this is not the actual location of the gin joint where Humphrey Bogart requested an encore from Sam in the movie "Casablanca". Still, we were spending our last night in Morocco at the Sofitel, a 10 minute walk away from Rick's...More

Great ambiance, wonderful decor, good food, reservations recommended, small place. They go not rush you. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for dinner. Reasonable prices. Good red wine.

Amazing jazz in a trendy atmosphere. Simple menu but well executed and varied so for all tastes. A buzzy place clearly appreciated and well worth the visit . Would happily return and would consider good value for money.

Only 1 night in Casablanca, a Wednesday, walked to Rick's for drink around 8:30pm. Rude doorman said full, then refused to answer any questions. Don't think establishment that allows that treatment of potential guests-or anyone- deserves business. A simple sorry with explanation of their entry...More

Now obviously its not the "real" Ricks Cafe as that was a movie set and un until 14 years ago it was just a bar in a hotel, but some clever and creative person has taken a traditional Moroccan building and transformed it into one...More

Business casual - no jacket or tie required for men but many men wear sports jackets. Women tend to wear nice dresses but not as fancy as a cocktail dress.

Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist
