Great beer selection and a favorite stop in Amana. Love sitting on the deck on a quiet evening... All star root beer, to boot!

Iowa's oldest microbrewery. In the tasting room you can have two samples free. Shockolade Bock was in season when we went so we sat inside to have one before going on a walk. Rootbeer and cream soda are also on tap. Mugs, t-shirts, hats and souvenirs.

I don't drink but they do and they are very critical. That said, they opined that the German pilsner was as good as the top tier of German pilsners in Germany. Enough said

We stopped here for the afternoon with our friends. They allow 2 samples free and you can buy a flight (6-5oz samples) and keep a glass for around $11. You can also just buy a glass of beer. They have limited inside seating but plenty of outside seating. We enjoyed being outside and then wandered over to the Millstream breu... More

Suffice it to say, they produce a quality product line that I have purchased time and time again. The selection is tremendous and the prices are reasonable. Highly, highly recommended.

We didn't have a lot of time while in the Amana Colonies, but we had to stop in to try the craft beer. I had the Sutliff cider and my husband had the Oktoberfest. Both were fantastic. The building was so neat and they had a nice outdoor patio.

Newer remodeled part was full so they put us in the dining room. They have a nice big new deck, but they only serve beer out there, no food service. On our way to the dining room you walk by a bare bones room, looked like they were going to use it for storage. They had another room too, it... More

I guess you come here for the beer or root beer but not food. I don't drink alcohol so can't comment on the beer. The root beer is good. This was our first visit for dinner. First of all, the menu is VERY small. They have 3 entrees: hamburger, brat, or mac n cheese with a brat. The only good... More

Many in our group liked this place. I am not a beer drinker so I can't comment. The group even went back in the evening when they had live music. It was Apple Fest.
