We tried the lunch menu which is supposed to have a smaller portion size than the dinner menu. Even so we still had to take some food home. The menu had a wide selection of choices. Many of the selections were grouped by how hot they were. The service was very prompt and the food was prepared the way we wanted. We will be back to try other selections.

No Dim Sum now but run well with Elizabeth as manager. They can cook to your taste, No more smoothies. Quality service now and quality food and ambiance. Lots of room to hold parties that are partitioned.

When at home and I think of Tony’s 3 chili chicken- my mouth starts watering
Amazingly hot with a touch of sweetness, this dish is memorable
Ditto the salt and pepper shrimp
The cooking here is always on point - the portions are generous and well priced
There is a large menu with plenty to choose from
You will enjoy dining here- just go

We did carry out from here for an office luncheon recently. Everything was excellent and they didn’t skimp on the meat. I hope they continue with the same quality going forward.

first of all, any review that says it was "delicious" was probably written by a clueless tourist that doesnt know how Chinese food is supposed to taste. we ordered these frog legs for $24 and it was a complete ripoff. Most of the dish was just garlic cloves and bok choy and there were just a small amount of frog legs. they discounted us and we only had to pay 15 dollars. I have a lot more complaints, like we had to wait a long time for our food, and they got part of our order wrong too. overall, don't go there, it is a waste of your money.
they also gave us a broken takeout box.

We have been here twice but plan to never go again. The first time we went I enjoyed the food but my wife got violently ill afterwards. We didn’t go back for a year. We thought we would try again because my son and I did not get I’ll.
The tonight came. We decided to give it another try. The place was not busy at 6:30 on a Saturday night. Only about five tables were full. There were three of us but only two menus were given to us. The waiter cam right away with water. Then nothing. We waited another 20 minutes unacknowledged by anyone. We finally decided to just leave. On our way out an employee cheerfully said goodbye on our way out. No apology. No asking why we were leaving. Awful. We will never return and I would recommend that you stay away too.

Very nice comfort Chinese food at this restaurant. Good variety of noodle dishes and other standard fare at a Chinese restaurant. They also have a traditional Chinese menu. The Szechuan beef noodles are very good and numbingly spicy.

Before coming here make sure you know what you are looking for. Szechuan House has spicy food. If you are looking for a more bland Chinese food this isn't the place for you. I like the spicy, hot taste and really enjoyed the meal. My wife prefers less spicy food and was less enthused. I have to rate the Szechuan House on what they serve and found both the shrimp with lobster sauce and the Kung Bao Scallops very enjoyable. Large portions, clean, and good service. Next time we come we will ask for a dish made not as hot for my wife.

The observation that food in US Chinese restaurants taste blander than Chinese restaurants in Asia is challenged by this restaurant in the middle of the Chicago suburbs. Almost all of the dishes we ordered - fried rice, steamed fish with leeks, a tofu dish, were flavorful and has kick (since it's Szechuan style) - almost as if you were in Asia. Service is fast and they know how to handle big groups.
Plus, they were open during Christmas Day!

Szechuan house is definitely a good options for folks keen on spicy Chinese food. Hot Pot is a real cool USP that they have. I loved the hot and sour soup and the fish dishes. Chinese run restaurant are conservative when it comes to selling themselves. Like Mapo this is another great product.

although we haven't tried it yet, we've been looking for a place with an authentic hot pot in the area and this might be it. We just stopped in for lunch specials which were generous portions. Nice dishes, skilled cooking, quick service. Not the real nitty-gritty of Mapo or the over the top style of Minghin but solid real Chinese food. We'll be back.

Great food at a reasonable price. Check out their lunch buffet. They have 8-10 entrees to choose from.

I went there when it first opened. They did not interact very much . Now it seems like whole new staff. They interacted with us and asked us questions about the food and our nationality, since they spoke to us in Mandarin. The food was good but I need to keep trying different dishes. We had hot pot there and it was good. Tried the shrimp with scrambled eggs. It was ok. They do have some dim sum side dishes but not hesitate another place not too far away that had a large selection. Their specialty is Szechuan hence its name. So if want spicy then this is your place.

From the outside (and it doesn't look bad, just small), I was expecting this to be a fast-food Chinese place, with a cafeteria style setup. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's a very nicely decorated sit-down restaurant. We went for lunch and you get an entree, drink, and egg roll for $7.50. I had the chicken & broccoli. Again my expectations were off - I wasn't expecting such a huge meal. I could barely finish it all. Everything was very tasty, and the service was good.
