My husband and I ate breakfast with the locals here. Our server was so friendly and gave us ideas on activities to do in the area. The food was good and prices seemed reasonable.

We ate here after visiting the arcade museum in nearby Mclean. Right off the bat the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was some of the best BBQ I have eaten. I don't even remember what the rest...More

Marked this down after reading good reviews online and in our Route 66 guide and we were not disappointed. If you're doing Route 66, you're most likely going to stop to take a picture of the Bunyon's 'hot dog' giant opposite anyway, so it makes...More

On our way through Route 66 we stopped in Atlanta to see the giant hot dog man. One of our guidebooks said not to miss the Palms and I couldn't agree more. The cafe has the Route 66 feel and staff are pleasant and friendly....More

Atlanta has the BEST Memorial Day ceremony, and this year we stopped at The Palms Grill Cafe afterwards. Everything was delicious and we were drooling over the looks of the other tables' food, too. Good old-fashioned diner food, good prices, lovely service! We will go...More

Welcome to the Palms Grill Cafe... It's not only the sound of the 1930s-40s music playing in the background... It's not only the smell of the delicious, home-cooked, daily Blue Plate special wafting out from the kitchen... It's not even the taste of that first forkful of made-from-scratch coconut cream pie (...And all the other great pies, too!). It's when everything you've been hearing, seeing, feeling, smelling, and tasting combine that you realize you're living the Mother Road the way it used to be. Join us to experience Rt. 66 The way it was when the Palms Grill Cafe first opened up in 1934 along Rt. 66 In downtown Atlanta, Illinois.
