My husband and I spent four nights on Hideaway Caye while on a trip to Belize to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The experience was perfectly relaxing and unique! Though the island is off the grid and solar powered, the bungalow was perfectly comfortable, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and taking the kayak out to watch the sunset... More

We loved stopping by Hideaway Caye and meeting Kim and Dustin. They were warm and welcoming, and full of information on the area. They have a beautiful spot nestled among the mangroves, with great sea life. The anchorage was easy to navigate with deep and sheltered waters. Dustin serves the best rum punch on the island! :) We can't wait... More

Our best friends have been telling us about Hideaway Caye for years and what a special place it is. We got to visit last week and were not disappointed. We sailed there from Plecencia and anchored just off the island and made plans for dinner. The family, Kim, Dustin and Ama, have a great story. Dustin, welcomed us on the dock... More

Hideaway is a unique gem located on a small mango island. A couple bought the island and run the place tucked away in a cove. The food, service, ambience, and food was awesome. 99% of the island is underwater with the structures on stilts. A must go for sailers and cruisers, accessible only by boat.

In our charter briefing, Diego @ Moorings recommended Hideaway Caye. We had a choice between this anchorage or another place to eat out (instead of the boat). We chose Hideaway. It truly is "hidden away", however, Dustin and Ama (his four year old daughter) met us at the dinghy dock. What a beautiful family! They treated us like their own,... More

While sailing in Belize we spent the night anchored at Hideaway Caye and had dinner there. It is such an unusual place. Dustin, Kim and Ama are so welcoming, you feel like old friends. We had conch fritters and the local beer (after the rum punch of course). Such an enjoyable experience, hope to be back again someday. Don't miss... More

This restaurant is on Hideaway Caye in the Pelican Cayes off the coast of Belize. What an amazing atmosphere among the mangroves. Kim and Dustin and Ama are perfect hosts - friendly, informative and what a delicious meal. The conch was prepared fresh and very tender. Salad and drinks completed this lunch in a magical place. The snorkelling off the... More

This was probably our best dining experience while in Belize. Dustin and his family are so friendly! He went out to catch some of our food that day. His wife cooks everything. And their daughter keeps the entire group entertained while waiting for food. The restaurant is built on an island made up of mangroves. Dustin built it himself with... More

Hideaway Caye, where Dustin, Kim, Ama and Ki work, live and play is a must visit gem if you are lucky enough to be in that area. Hand-crafted from the coral base up to the open-air restaurant and bar, it is the quintessential Caribbean escape. Dinner, fish freshly caught that day, was excellent and complemented the special rum punch Dustin... More
