We stopped in on the way to Hopkins from Belize City. We had milkshakes and chatted with the owner about his house and furniture design. We weren't in a hurry, and our experience felt more like a social visit than a transaction. It set the tone for a very relaxing vacation!

The location on the hummingbird highway is not to be missed, we stopped on the way to Placencia and then again when we were leaving. A lovely little spot, great food and coffee, and a cat named BUTTERNUT.

We stopped here both on the way in and on the way out of Hopkins Village and had breakfast in this very unique family home. Very friendly owners (and cat and bunny) who served us delicious omelettes with garden fresh vegetables, delicious coffee, and homemade jam. Well worth a stop!

We stopped here on the hummingbird highway on our way into Hopkins. I got a double espresso and my wife got a coffee smoothie. Kitchy, cool building that pops out at you as soon as you drive by. We were instantly befriended by a tabby cat and throngs of mosquitoes so be prepared for bugs when you hop out of... More

The building and the restaurant looked fine and clean but the lady behind the counter was not friendly at all. She never smiled, never looked at us, never talked to us and gave us the impression she did not want us to be there. After 25 minutes of waiting, she took our order. Just after that, a very dirty man... More

I live 3 miles away and bike down several times a week for a papaya/banana/ coconut and orange juice( I think ) smoothie, or, a rather excellent banana coconut shake. Coffees and ice cream, 5BZ$, smoothie at 6BZ$, hamburgers and even spaghetti and meatballs! The owner, and fellow philospher, built the place himself. A very whimsical structure, and cozy, seating... With coffee being in short supply, Casita de Amor was a little piece of heaven. The owner came out and had a cup with us, as well as a pleasant conversation. He built the place himself and it is awesome.

Stopped in our drive down south. Had the shake which was excellent and refreshing. The burgers were flavorful (don't expect thick and meaty- it had seasoning and something extra mixed in which gave it great flavor and tasted fresh). Friendly service.

The owner built this place himself. We like to stop here for a coffee when traveling to Belmopan. Very simple menu and inexpensive. Nice property.

This is a really charming small restaurant at the side of the road in Steadfast Village (NOT Dandriga). It appears to be a one-man show; the proprietor greets you, takes your order, and heads to the kitchen to prepare your food and drinks. Excellent fresh-squeezed orange juice and a really nice hamburger, with some touches that made it seem like... More
