Sandbar is a fun old favorite. Menu is more "typical" than outstanding. Food is good, about a "B", but the service is fast, energetic, engaged and engaging. Our waitress, Beth, was A+. Grouper sandwich, touted as best on the island, needed more fish and less bun. Mine was grilled, and I wouldn't recommend it. I think sautéed would deliver a... More

We had a great experience at the Sandbar restaurant. The food was great as was the atmosphere. You can't beat the great view of the gulf.

We went to the Sandbar while we waited for our house to be ready. Can't fault the view or the staff, but the food was thoroughly "meh." Even the raw oysters were brought out on a bed of ice that was already melted and the oysters were already submerged and watered-down when they arrived at the table. Not horrible, but... More

This restaurant was packed at lunch today. We almost gave up when we couldn't find a parking spot but then decided to use their Valet parking. It was a very long wait for an outside table but we got an inside table beside a window looking out at the beach and water. We split the Squash Blossoms (okay but I've... More

Service was excellent food great ; atmosphere was gorgeous and sunny but windy cool day. Wife had scallops I had the stuffed gulf shrimp brother in law and wife had blackened flounder... More

For many years we've had a tradition of coming to this beautiful restaurant and having their mouth-watering spinach artichoke dip in a bread bowl. We just went today and it was no longer on the menu, nor was the saurkraut appetizer. They removed these dips, which is very disappointing, and replaced them with a chicken & bean "dip" that was... We had high expectations based on reviews from friends. There was a long wait for dinner but we persevered. We were seated inside since it was cool outside. Wait staff was great but food was not so great. Stuffed grouper was cold and flavorless. Blacked black grouper was also rather bland. No one in our party raved about their selection.... More

Enjoyed the dining experience on the beach. Food quality was terrific, but quantity was under whelming. Definitely a good choice all around!
