Overall, everything was amazing! The food was delicious, and everything was made to share so everyone can get a little bit of everything. Th entire experience was heightened by the atmosphere of the place! Highly recommended!

Kenichi is an old staple that we tend to go to. the food is good. Service is good and atmosphere is good. Its priced better than some other places with food that's as good much of the time. We have been coming here about 25 years and choose to stay loyal.

Let me start out saying, this is my favorite place to have dinner in Aspen. I enjoy everything from the fun friendly staff, the atmosphere and of course the food. It's trendy, popular and great vibe any night of the week. The spicy edamame, dynamite shrimp, shishito peppers and brussels sprouts are only a fraction of the small starters I... More

We had the 2 Josh's as our servers and service was admirable. Atmosphere was nice, food was prepared well, being from the metro NY area it was comparable with what we get 'back home'. Nice salads and sushi rolls, Himachi serano was excellent, molten lava cake exquisite, great bottle of Sancerre at a fair price. Overall a restaurant to return... More

Great fun ambience, wonderful sushi, and lovely staff. I sat at the bar with my friend and we were able to place our sushi orders with the chefs directly. I was able to custom order rolls as well. Miso soup is great to warm up on the chilly nights and the have the BEST veggie roll I've ever had. Really... More

They set up our party of 30+ with a 4 course dinner which was great. In the 2nd course one of the three provided us was a hot rock 1000" which you cooked salmon and wagyu beef. Course 3 had six entrees everyone could choose from. Course 4 was Mochi for desert, Printed menus for everyone which were personalized for... More

Ok the good: fish was fresh, service was prompt and pleasant, atmosphere comfortable and the music was reggae. The not so good: sushi rice was dry, boarderline stale, the ponzu was spicy (the main reason I will never go back), the price was ridiculous (but its aspen)...so sushi in the landlocked mountains probably the wrong call.

On our last trip to Aspen we ate at Kenichi as usual and found it disappointing with regards to both the food and service. This time however both the food and service were back to their usual first rate standards. Loved the firecracker shrimp and the pot stickers as well as the fabulous sashimi. Sat in one of the two... Although lacking the glitz of nearby Matsuhisa, Kenichi is my preferred spot for Japanese and sushi in Aspen. The menu offers a nice variety of traditional sushi and sashimi, along with inventive rolls. The main menu has ample noodle and non-seafood options for those who prefer steak or chicken. The staff is attentive, the scene is lively (but not overwhelming),... More
