We visit Auburn every other month and since this place reopened we never go anywhere else for breakfast or lunch. Awful Annie's is consistently delicious and our favorite place for brunch from the bay area to the sierra's. Benedict, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches - all excellent, fresh, great portions and well priced. Service is always outstanding. We never visit without... More

This place was very cute and a quaint restaurant. We had the cinnamon French toast and the carnitas breakfast. The service was good and the food was also!

Good food, large portions, you could share a plate, enough for 2, great Bloody Mary's and a Mimosa menu. We had an enjoyable meal. It's a bit noisy but the service is very good, well staffed. We never had to ask for a refill, our glasses were kept filled. A nice, convenient location right off the freeway with plenty of... More

They moved from Old Town Auburn to a location that is visible from Interstate 80. Parking is still difficult and there is often a wait. The meals are and have always been excellent.

You know it has to be good food, when they are only open from 8 to 3. Good Earth style tea, famous Bloody Mary's, well crafted food in a cheery Marie Calenders or Cracker Barrel atmosphere.

I always enjoy eating at this restaurant whether it be breakfast or lunch. However, sometimes the wait distracts from the delicious food. They do have a very courteous staff. They are now conveniently located just off of the I-80 corridor. I would recommend them if you don't mind the long wait sometimes.

While visiting former hometown of Auburn, we tried to hit as many favorite restaurants as possible. Awful Annie's was one and it has moved to a new location since we left, but it just happened to be right next door to the Best Western Motel where we were staying so we checked another off the list. New digs are quite... More

When we heard that Awful Annie's was planning a move to the site of the now defunct Lou LaBonte's we were very concerned that this could be a terrible business mistake. Having now visited the operation at the new site, we admit that we were very wrong. They have managed to transform the new location to the same intriguing atmosphere... More

We've had breakfast at Awful Annie's several times, and recently stopped into their new Auburn location at 13460 Lincoln Street (they are no longer downtown on Sacramento Street). They have the same extensive and creative breakfast menu. The food was excellent, as usual. I had eggs scrambled with delicious smoked lox and green onions. I like that they offer a... More

The food was excellent the service from the young lady could have been better. They do not take reservation for less than five people. The lady who seated us was very nice.
