We've stopped going to the big original McClintocks on Mattie Rd. In Shell Beach. Its expense ($50+/person) and most everything is fried or heavy with carbs. The catch of the day can be OK, but if you're trying to stay slim and trim, choose somewhere else that has fresher salads and veggies. It's also too touristy for we locals.

Breakfast was not as good as the the highway chain. Dinner is overrated. Might be good for steak that requires no skill to prepare.

McLintocks in the Village is always a wonderful stop.. western decor, great staff, nice big long bar ... plenty of seating. Usually get the black & blue burger, but steaks are also on my dining list.. consistently good, nice big portions... come in to eat, laugh and leave full & satisfied!

I don't know if Mac's still have there all you can eat week night specials but when they do it is a can't miss event otherwise we have never had a bad meal there and always with good service. Sometimes due to sports on T.V. it can get noisy.

Enjoyed our meal and the service was refreshingly good! Went to another establishment down the street that we waited and waited and waited at to get seated. Finally left there and came here, what a difference! Great Friendly Service....and good eats...

It seems that Mac's is living on its reputation. For years Mclintocks was a premier brand in this area. Over time service has become OK, as opposed to great. The menus hasn't really changed at all. They do an outstanding steak and have a very cool western/ranch decor.

My husband and I love to have breakfast at this great restaurant. The food is great, with many breakfast choices. The coffee is super and the service is very good! The tables are a little crowded, but the food is worth it.

With our son attending Cal Poly we have been coming to the area for four years. This restaurant is without a doubt the most overrated and overpriced in the area. Santa Maria put TriTip on the map and we wanted to enjoy some "locally" . The restaurant in Arroyo Grande is a circus. Food is average. San Luis location no... More

You can tell this is a great place to eat because all the locals go here, too. Their breakfasts are exceptional. Cowboy atmosphere adds some local charm.

I've eaten dozens of meals here and have always LOVED the breakfast burrito. Until this time. The service was excellent, as usual. The burrito just wasn't up to snuff this particular morning. It was missing the usually large helping of their signature beans and was, therefore, not as flavorful as I remembered it.
