Not sure how long Wildflower Cafe has been around, but this has to be one of the true, original vegetarian restaurants in Northern California, and probably the best. It seems their menu hasn't changed much in decades. Their sign is the same from the early1980's. I had the "nut burger," with housemade sauerkraut, which was over-the-top fantastic. My daughter had... More

As a vegetarian I had been recommended this place multiple times as the "go to" that I just had to try, and I am always down for supporting vegitarian businesses wherever possible. As stated in a few of my other reviews I am a sucker for a good huevos rancheros so when I saw they offered it on their menu... More

I ate here with 2 other people. Service is slow. They really could be faster, but amazingly, people still go here knowing service will be slow because the servers are nice and the food is good. Above average, really. My main beef with this restaurant is that they plate delicious ***hot***food on ***ice cold*** plates. By the time the food... More

This was my first visit to the cafe. I am not vegetarian, but my daughter is vegan. I was very impressed with the range of options on the menu. We had the hummus plate, veggie spring rolls, and mac n cheese. All were very fresh and delicious. We also went back for breakfast the next day. The vegan french toast... More

I've been vegetarian for 10 months now. My grandma and I went there for breakfast one morning, I walked in and there was a few people in there, not busy at all. Our waitress greeted us kindly and we sat down. We loved the theme of the restaurant. We got our menus and I ordered fresh pressed pear juice which... More

I have a favorite here - the Wildflower potatoes. Its topped with veggies and their house gravy. Everything is fresh. It is a great place for vegetarian eating!

Traveling with vegans, I ate dinner at the Wildflower Cafe. It has a decidedly counter-cultural vibe, so I wasn't expecting much. Wow! The salads are huge - and fresh, and creatively thought out. Tomato-broccoli soup was ok - too much of a heavy spice like cinnamon. But the vegan, gluten-free chocolate torte? Superb! Friendly staff too. Went back a second... More

Stopped in arcata overnight and had both dinner and breakfast at this lovely cafe/restaurant. Loads of amazing vegan options. The cornbread tofu scramble was particularly delicious, but I think you can't go wrong here.
