Brass Bear is the only sandwich shop in Alamo, unless you count the 'deli' at Safeway. Sandwiches are usually pretty good, although the bread is hit/miss. I like sourdough rolls, and I've given up on the ones at BB-more often than not, they're jaw-cramping. My...More
There are quite a few choice in Alamo for lunch but Brass Bear is one of the originals. Probably has been here for 3 decades. They make fresh sandwiches to order. Can also get chips, cookies and drinks. Food is always fresh and always good.
Incredible sandwiches, longstanding business that is great at what they do. Fantastic breads and meats and the sandwiches are made to order. Service is excellent and the shop has a great vibe to it. Lines tend to be long and can take a little while,...More

It's a deli. But, the food is very good and the owners and their staff are fabulous. Trip Advisors wants more words, but what else is there but good food and fine service.
Friendly owner, congenial professional efficient staff. High quality meats & accompaniments. Some customers have been going to Brsss Bear 15+ years, a testament quality & service.
We have been frequenting this delicatessen for years now, and it is always excellent. The owner and employees are clean, polite and everything is fresh and consistently good. Great, tasty sandwiches!
If your looking for a great sandwich this is the place! Don't waste your money anywhere else. Great service and impeccably clean. They take great pride in everything they make.
