The restaurant is beautiful and the prix fixe meal is a good value. Chilean sea bass is on the menu for $29. What was served definitely did not taste like Chilean sea bass. It could have passsed for bass from California. Very disappointed!

This is one of my favorite DC restaurants. You can't go wrong. It's hip, elegant, gorgeous, amazing food/presentation, and at very reasonable prices.

I first went to Oya 4 years ago for a going away party and since then I've visited this restaurant many times over the years and I'm never disappointed. I've taken family members here whenever they're in town visiting (I use any excuse to go) and they rave about it. I have a cousin who requests to go each time... More

If you're used to the dining scence in major world metro areas -- DC can sometimes be disappointing. Oya is visually compelling and a good place to have a good meal and be a little hip without an over-priced bill. Their pre-fixe menu for about $30pp is a bargain considering three tasty full sized portions. The bar is a "scene"... More

We had our 23rd reunion of our sorority pledge line here (AKA, GT '87) - Oya was more than accommodating. We were one of two large groups there and you would not have known it due to the service. We also had extreme food allergies and the staff worked hard to make sure that it was not a factor. We... More

I am a true "foodie" and it isn't to please me. I highly recommend Oya. The decor is great. We walked around feeling the walls because there were so many textures. I had Prixe Fixe dinner with the Sea Bass Spring Roll, the Scallops entree and the AMAZING bread pudding dessert.

My wife and I visited Oya earlier this week to celebrate my birthday and we will definately not visit again. Having heard some good reports we had been looking forward to the experience but from the very offset something was a foot. We entered the restaurant and announced ourselves, 20 minutes ahead of our booking time and watched as the... More

I would give it a NEGATIVE 5 stars if there was one! The food was bland and the service was terrible. All the servers were extremely snobby and the worst was their manager. He had the worst attitude I've ever encountered. Despite all the nice decor and facade of this place, it is just down right RUDE!

As other reviewers had said, this place is cool. Thin chains are used to divide the bar and lounge from the restaurant and the place is covered in white alligator skin. (I think that's what it was.) There are gorgeous recessed fireplaces and a water-running-down-glass window that separates the dinner room from the kitchen. The patrons are a diverse array... More
