Was recommended for Saturday night dinner by the concierge. The experience was a disappointment from start to finish. We were not acknowledged upon arrival and were left standing around in the foyer. When I finally spoke to someone they said that the tables were running late we asked to wait in the bar which was most unwelcoming. You had to... More

We do not eat in the district too often since it can be a pain to park but this was a special occasion and I'm glad we did! It's not a huge location and some of the tables can be close together, so you have a chance of overhearing other conversations. It was a little in the noisy side but... More

We visited Central Michel Richard on a recent trip to D.C. We needed to eat on the earlier side because of a History on Foot tour we were taking at Ford's Theater. The restaurant opened at 5:00 p.m. and we were seated promptly. It took a few minutes for the server to visit us but once we told him we... More

Impeccable service and scrumptious meal for four of us my salmon was prepared to perfection. The French onion soup was second to none. Topped off with martinis yummy to my tummy.

Central was recommended by the concierge at Fairmont where my friend was staying. The service is lovely, unpretentious and professional. Our hostess and our server were both very sweet. We arrived at 7 on a Friday night in April and we were happy to sit outside because indoors the din was terrible even though the place was only half full.... More

My wife and I enjoyed a dinner here. The menu is simple, not a lot of items, but still has an eclectic feel to it. We started with the cheese puffs, they were as addictive as any opioids! I had the fried chicken. It was excellent; crunchy, not greasy! My wife had a veal ragu with pasta. She loved it.... More

So this time on prompting from friends we went to Central just to try Michel Richards famous fried chicken. AND I have to say it is truly worth being on a top flight restaurants menu. Really, really good. There are so many other things on the menu that are equally good so it might take a while before we repeat... More

Ok I have found the place in DC for great food. The shrimp burger was just fabulous-- melt in your mouth fantastic flavors. Fried chicken was moist and tasty. A the dessert was out of the world. One of the best places to eat--a bit pricey but worth it overall. Located close to the Archives (easy metro stop).

I was there for dinner. I recommend a reservation as it was chock-full on a weekday. The fish and fried chicken are extraordinary. But the level of noise is such that you can talk with your partner with great difficulty.

We happened upon this place and had a really excellent meal. By the time the place filled up, it was pretty noisy, but this was really the only drawback. We were seated next to the kitchen, so had the added benefit of a "side show." Unusual items on the menu, and everything was superb. Very friendly and professional wait staff.
