My husband said this was the best Mexican restaurant he has ever eaten at. The chips and salsa are home made and I think I could have just eaten those forever. So light and crisp. Good portions. Great food.

Right across the street from the red line metro. Excellent atmosphere and service. Waiter was friendly and helpful. We had the fajitas, they were excellent- steak was so flavorful! A little small on the portion size— $20 for fajitas, so we excepted it to be...More
We go to Guapo’s regularly. The food is consistently good, the service is very attentive and pleasant. Always a good value. We love Guapo’s. The Tenleytown location is intimate compared with the Shirlington location, which is large and noisy.

The food and drinks were so delicious that I didn't even have time to take pics! Serve was good and they even sang Happy Birthday to one of my friends and gave her a free dessert.
Came here for lunch on day before moving our daughter in for college. No frills. Just good authentic Mexican food. Chicken enchiladas were perfect. My wife loved her tortilla soup and my daughter enjoyed her chicken quesadillas. Chips and salsa among the best.
If you are looking for awesome food and a great staff, stop here! Guapo margarita is awesome, great gluten free stop as well. Took a family of 7, great atmosphere, great food, great drinks and a great restaurant!!!
I stay close so this is always a must stop for me when visiting DC. I love the place and would happily come for beer and chips, but the salad is my absolute favourite. Really friendly staff and a great vibe. There's a small terrace...More

Went with a large party. Food was OK, as Mexican food far from Mexico goes, but not great. Setup with several long tables in parallel made interacting awkward -- didn't help the social aspects of the party. At least the tortilla chips were fresh and...More
