Dropped in here randomly. I happened to be there for Happy Hour and the prices were very good - especially compared to some other spots in the city. Beers were nice (and cheap) as were small nibbles that are only €5 during Happy Hour. Cant...More

Very reasonably priced in downtown Washington, DC. Family enjoyed grilled chicken sandwich, fish and chips, and bratwurst entrees. Draft beers at lunch were $5 each. Plus the complimentary pretzels were a hit too. Highly recommend this establishment.

Our waitress (Haley) was great! She was attentive but gave us space to enjoy our meal. We enjoyed the atmosphere and thought the food was good and the prices were reasonable.

Visited Capitol City several times whilst staying at the hotel opposite. The beer was great although on the strong side and the food very good. We tried a number of items and no complaints from anyone. Great venue to meet or dine.

Was at a conference at the Grand Hyatt and this restaurant was just across the street. Ended up eating there for lunch and dinner on different days. Reasonably priced and good variety of foods. Got the taco trio and a burger for dinner with calamari...More

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place. We ate here for lunch. The food was average, however our service was way less than average. Slow, inattentive, friendly yet inconsiderate. They seemed to not care that we didn’t want to spend all day eating in their establishment....More

Stopped in while a storm was passing to have a cold local brewed frosty beverage. They had 8 beers on tap of which I tried the IPA and Amber Waves. Both were good. The bar staff was friendly and promptly provided service with a smile.

Description
Capitol City Brewing Co. opened its doors in 1992 as the first brew pub in our nation's capitol since prohibition, thus giving its citizens and its many visitors the freedom to enjoy some of the finest hand-crafted beer in the country. On the front of our menu is the symbol of freedom, the Lady Liberty, a statue found atop our namesake, the United States Capitol.

Nestled in the heart of Washington's rejuvenated downtown, this location has become a local landmark for celebrating great beer and food with family and friends. We have always taken great pride in our beer so come in and enjoy a cold pint of our very best and match it to one of the many menu selections tailored to the brews we serve.
