The staff was nice but to me the food was just okay! Our meal was over cooked but service was with a smile. The cocktails were great.

Easily seated primetime on a Saturday for a reason. Food was average, beer selection limited and nothing special. Server was not good. Hourly bathroom cleaning checklist hadn't been initialed in 4 hours and you could tell.

Having visited the restaurant after an nhl match it was surprisingly quiet. However that’s probably the best time to go! Our second experience was really awful when it was busy. A good buzzy atmosphere but service and food was below average. The first trip was...More

Went here on a Tuesday night and the place was crammed and buzzing. I only wanted a light snack so went for nachos and a few of their own beer, both of which were excellent. The real surprise was the homemade pretzel with a horse...More

We visited on Sunday the 7th before the Phil Collins concert. Have been here before. A short 10 minute walk to the Capitol One arena. We had a reservation and they had a table ready. Our server was busy with multiple tables including one with...More

We had a dinner for about 50 people in an upstairs room. At first we only had 1 waiter, eventually they sent a second. Even with a limited choice menu the service was awful. Some tables were on dinner while others were still waiting for...More

Can’t go wrong with this one. Good atmosphere and the food was entirely tasty. Beer menu on target but nothing exceptional. Overall an excellent after work hang out spot.

We had a large group of 12 for lunch. Plenty of space for us. No issues with service. Menu has a good variety of appetizers, entrees (beef, chicken and seafood) and desserts. Several local brews available. Public parking is across the street. We paid $12...More

My wife and I came upon this restaurant while out walking. It is located by our hotel. Great menu and many craft beer selections. We both ended up having entree salads. Very large portions. You won't be disappointed.

I am sorry for the late answer. Better go back by Uber if you want to go there to drink some pints. No metro station around, as I remember.

Description
Capitol City Brewing Co. opened its doors in 1992 as the first brew pub in our nation's capitol since prohibition, thus giving its citizens and its many visitors the freedom to enjoy some of the finest hand-crafted beer in the country. On the front of our menu is the symbol of freedom, the Lady Liberty, a statue found atop our namesake, the United States Capitol.

Nestled in the heart of Washington's rejuvenated downtown, this location has become a local landmark for celebrating great beer and food with family and friends. We have always taken great pride in our beer so come in and enjoy a cold pint of our very best and match it to one of the many menu selections tailored to the brews we serve.
