We always have our celebratory dinners at Marcel's, because we can anticipate excellent food, service and ambience. And best of all, you can hear yourself talk because it's a quiet but lively place to dine. We enjoy selecting from the four, five or six course...More

This restaurant is far and away our family's favorite place in DC. The menu is flexible and almost every dish can be modified to accommodate allergies, dining preferences, etc. The seasonal lobster bisque is literally mouth-watering, as is my favorite mussels gratin dish, which is...More

We celebrated our anniversary here, and have been several times before. This is the best French restaurant in DC, and one of the finest of any cuisine in the City. The food is incredible, the service is fantastic, and the ambience is superb. The restaurant...More

Busy on a Sat. night in summer lull with Embassy and K St. power types, i.e. seemed like most of the guests were charging the meal and not paying these prices themselves as we were. Seated half hour after our reservation time, then, inexcusably, waited...More

We dined here for an extension of our anniversary (we celebrate for an entire week - not just on the actual date) and it was better than expected. We chose the 4 courses but we each ordered something different which enabled us to try a...More

My wife and I had not been to Marcel's for several years. From reviews, we knew that it had been renovated and were curious to see if had kept its Old World panache. The space is very attractive. The service is the height of professionalism,...More

Marcel's is a perfectly good restaurant that doesn't reach a level of perfection that would justify their Michelin-level prices. At a truly great restaurant, each element of a dish gets the chef's full attention and is equally perfect; at Marcel's, by contrast, a delicious piece...More

Hadn't been in awhile and went before a Kennedy Center play. The food was perfect. Not too much before a play but plenty if you want it. Getting a ride to the play was an added bonus! Can't wait to go back.

I doubt it. It's highly expensive so I wouldn't recommend bringing lots of kids nor do they have a kids menu.
