I visited this restaurant my first night in DC. While the food was good, and I would come back for more, I would not like to sit inside. The night I visited there was a birthday party in the upstairs bar. The people were so loud, you could hear them downstairs where the other guests were dining. Awesome food, but... More

The food here was decent. They had a mix of Puerto Rican/Cuban/Mexican food. Nothing great but the food was pretty good. May have been better if they stuck to one thing. Did not like the chips and salsa. The salsa was very generic and lacked flavor. The environment was family friendly but there was a couple there who were basically... More

Just happened on this place while in DC. The food is wonderful, and the service was great! Highly recommend.

The pricing was pretty good and it's fun to eat on the outside patio. But the fun was rather bland. Not bad or anything, but for Cuban food, we were looking for more spice.

The fact that it was half empty on a Saturday night when everywhere else was full should have given us a clue. The server seemed uninterested and the food took forever to arrive. The starter was ok but the main course was tasteless, lukewarm and definitely not worth the wait. I can't understand why this place has so many positive... More

This is a high energy, fun place with tasty food. I asked the server to surprise me when I couldn't make up my mind on what to eat. I'm still not totally sure what I had, but it sure was tasty! I enjoyed the food much more than the drinks--the margaritas used sour mix, as opposed to being freshly made.... More

Three of us dined at the Banana Cafe and Piano Bar for lunch on a Sunday. The food and service was excellent and reasonably priced. I ordered Puerto Rican Piononos which were delicious. The dish is made with plantains stuffed with a pork beef mixture and topped with cheese. The sides were rice, some type of slaw or marinated cabbage... More

We had about 45 minutes to eat before we were scheduled to be at the Marine Corps barracks for the evening parade. They didn't waste any time getting our order, our food, or the check when we were done. So we were out in plenty of time. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special. I had... So this particular night (Monday) there's karaoke and a live pianist. He plays your song for tips :) No valet parking, but free street parking and the chicken quesadillas were SO good.

Had some good burritos and queso here. Margaritas are also good. Not too pricey for the area, and portion sizing is decent.
