This restaurant has been on my bucket list for a long time, we weren't disappointed. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I have enjoyed - in any city. Our meal was a well orchestrated show from the time we arrived, through our post meal...More

Love the bites of unique food; and the finishing touches right in front of you. Beautiful presentation, and things you would most likely never cook for yourself. I even learned what 'real' Wasabi looked like as they grated it in front of us! Very cool...More

After you accept the price, this was the most amazing dining experience we've ever had in DC. Can't imagine what a 3 star Michelin restaurant would be like. The service, from beginning to end, was amazing--they really made you feel extra special. The food was...More

Last time we went to Minibar, I founf that the focus was too much on the molecular gastronomy - how much cool stuff can we do - vs the actual flavors of the food. Pleasantly surprised that the focus has shifted to concentrate a bit...More

this was our second time at minibar and we loved both experiences. the service is impeccable. the best way of describing the food and presentation is "dramatic" and "innovative" -- it's also very tasty but the best part of dining at minibar is the showmanship....More

Two couples shared this experience and agreed that it was definitely memorable. It was different from most other dining experiences, including those at other Michelin two-star restaurants. It was not a time to converse with friends, but rather to watch, listen, and taste. The courses...More

In any 2 or 3 Michelin star restaurant, the :"experience" is: You eat well. Wine pairing should be good -and Wine lists are wine lists. The chef is around. You leave satisfied, at least. Minibar: You don't leave satisfied, you actually leave hungry. Chef? Is...More

I have been to a couple of Michelin rated restaurants in France, this was my first venture into the USA. The ambience and service was equal or better. The menu was essentially a delightful tasting of thirty appetizer's, it was incredible. Clearly more than enough...More

It would be impossible to describe all the courses we had. Suffice to say, this place uses molecular cooking techniques. What do we mean by this? It is a clever way of using chemistry to deliver a unique taste experience. The other important point is...More

You should call the restaurant and ask. I suppose it depends on how long you have before the reservation date. You also could try to use eBay.

I had the same question. So, barmini is more of a casual bar where you can taste some of the food creations and have a drink. Minibar is the restaurant where you can have the full dining experience. They are in the same... More
