We came here upon stumbling this place in Chinatown. It looked like a truly authentic Chinese food place. We came here for dinner. We ordered the chicken fried rice, beef with pan-fried noodles and Mongolian beef. All dishes were very tasty and what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. The place was busy with lots of locals.

I had a lunch in this restaurant last week. one dish is called Stir-Fried spare ribs. they used pork loin centre chops instead of ribs. their explaining was that they always cooked like that and nobody complained. Are spare ribs and pork loin centre chops same thing? I got a lesson. never come back.

Family vacation to DC. looking for Chinese food. If you are staying in china town DC not a bad place to look up and have lunch or dinner. Food came out quickly but service was not great. Bottom line cheap for DC and good to eat.

The chicken and vegetables, or Moo Goo Gai Pan, is very tasty. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly. They offer daily specials, some are only $3.50. You can't beat that. Don't let the fact that it's a basement restaurant discourage you.

We ordered the lunch special last week with prices from 5.95 to 6.95. I had the chicken with vegetables, and my husband had sweet and sour chicken. Each came with rice and egg roll. Big, tasty portions for a small price. The wonton soup was one of the best.

Small family owned cafe. The food was good and filling. House fried rice and chicken on stick was enough for two people to split. Lots of items to choose from on the menu, so I asked what's popular. They said everything. They don't have very many tables and it was crowded.

Looking for a small and quiet place to have a late dinner, this place fits the bill. The service was friendly and quick. The dinner combo is served in generous portion and has decent taste. Fun fact: this place was featured in a Food Network show "Chefs vs City" as proudly displayed on the wall. I enjoyed my dinner outing.

I usually stay away from small restaurants which offer hundreds of items spread out over six pages, because I know that there will be a freezer and microwave involved. So, I stick with vegetable dishes since I know they will be fresh. I ordered sauteed string beans, Szechuan style as I like the spice in it. It would have been... More

We definitely wanted to try a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown just to compare the food from a local place and food from Beijing. I thought the food was ok but my wife sure did not like it. The food in Beijing tends to be on the greasy side and here at Jackey Café it wasn’t and of course, it wasn’t... More
