Some of the best mussels I’ve ever had. In a basement, dark, wood grain. Its the spot. I’ll be back.

This great little place has AMAZING mussels. If that’s not your thing, there’s plenty other goodness on the menu. Beer selection is OK. Hoegardden in tap. It’s a tiny place and it gets packed so either show up early or be prepared to wait.
While we did not have mussels, we did stop in for a drink at the bar. The place was very warm and welcoming. Seemed the kind of place that locals would hang out. We will go again!
Whenever I visit D.C., St. Arnold's is my favorite place to hang out, enjoy a few beers and eat as many mussel's as I can. It's even more fun because they have a happy hour special on mussel's, so they are really quite affordable. Even...More
Overall we enjoyed our dinner here very much! It was a Friday night but later in the evening and we were seated right away. We ordered the pretzel appetizer, which was good but the pretzels tasted very oily/ fried, which was a bit odd to...More
I've been to Belgium many times and I love mussels. St Arnold's served mussels worthy of Brussels. Easily the best I've ever had in the US - plump, perfectly cooked and the broth was so good I ordered extra bread to eat more of it....More
Bulieve me if I lived in this neighborhood I would be coming here a lot. This looks like a rock steady bar with really good mussels and an overall decent menu. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and a very decent Belgian beer selection.
Michael was great. The pretzel bites were amazing. There wasn't much of a crowd for early brunch so the atmosphere felt a little somber. Mussels were good. We had the St. Arnold's Mussels. I'd come back at a better hour in the day.
Beer options great... Food good and sufficiently diverse even though German oriented... Ambiance could be improved in terms of lighting and sound... Excellent service and helpful advice given the different beer alternatives..
Had lunch here with friends. The mussel menu is exhaustive - I tried the vodka mussel special and it was excellent, with garlic bread. There was an extensive bar which I must return to try ! All in all a great visit.
