The warm experience of meeting the owner was only surpassed by the taste of the coffee. We loved the garden as well as the music.

We went there twice during our trip to Washington DC to get breakfast. The coffee is great, the atmosphere is good. Great food too. The service was ok, i would have rated them 5 stars if they would smile a bit more. Twice we went there, never a smile. They seemed unhappy or bored. Don't know, but well I still... More

This place offers wi-fi and several customers were eating and working (?)! They offer freshly ground coffee and coffee beans. I did not purchase any food, just the Ethiopian coffee beans which makes some great coffee!

I spent a few hours working here recently and the coffee is simply fantastic. The decor may remind you of your great Aunt's attic as tables and chairs are unique. I agree with the previous comment about this being a lesson in patience. I was surprised that I wasn't greeted at the counter with a hello or even acknowledged for... More

I stayed at DC Downtown Hostel two weeks ago and treated myself to coffee here each morning. Nice little place. The Ethiopian owner was very friendly and took great pride in her business. She was happy to hear that I had been in Ethiopia several years ago. Good coffee. Don't miss it.

The service here is not rushed, but the coffee is fantastic. The people who work there take pride in the quality of the beverages and are very kind. Try to grab a table in the courtyard if it's sunny. I've always felt welcomed to stay as long as I like. Don't expect rapid service at the counter and you'll enjoy... More

I was working for few weeks at a place nearby, and used to visit Sidamo often for daily cup of tea. Small, cozy but awesome variety of tea & coffee.

Looks like a dive but great coffee and homemade pastries. We had full breakfast with eggs etc. Fast service and best prices in the area.

Love this adorable coffee shop on H St in my neighborhood! I go here mostly on weekends to grab a morning coffee and sometimes a breakfast sandwich. The coffee is absolutely amazing and roasted in house by the owner, who is an adorable older man. Sundays they have an Ethiopian coffee service, which is really cool to see in person.... More

Sidamo has some of the best home roasted coffee you'll get in the DC area. An Ethiopian man and his family run the shop and know their stuff! Recommend bringing a book to relax in their quaint shop and enjoy your coffee when it's fresh. Great location on H, too.
