Went for dinner whilst staying in Picton and throughly enjoyed the food, particularly our starters (fish tacos and seafood chowder). The portions are generous and the food is very good quality BUT the service is slow. The waitresses seemed confused and offered us dessert after we'd finished our starter and forgot one of our drinks orders. The food made up... More

Lovely staff, delicious meal. Pizza was very nice. Cafe Cortado was very busy, however they managed to serve our meals before we ferried to Wellington.

The two of us went for dinner, it was crowded but the waitress asked another couple if they were ok with us sharing a table which we did. Super nice service. Awesome tempura vegetables! Breading was very light and not greasy, vegetables fresh and perfectly cooked. Wasn't expecting such a great dinner in a small town. Awesome views and people... More

Tapas was excellent! But The only thing that I found disappointing was I ordered a glass of wine with a splash of lemonade and I received the glass with the lemonade in it to the required white line on the glass. I said that that was not right, that the wine had to be filled up to the white line... More

We stayed just for one night in Picton (a pity, because it's a lovely place!) and wanted real good fish for dinner. We chose the Cortado and it was a real good choice! The place was quite crowded and the only chance was to sit outside. Despite the many people the waitress was very friendly and intent. The market fish... More

It's a nice restaurants with mostly high tables. We were received in a friendly way and after cleaning a table we could sit. We ordered a seafood pltter which was realy good. Only the prawns were overcooked. The rest were perfect. Indeed just 30 minutes of free internet, but who cares, it's dinnertime. I enjoyed the eveninf.

We arrived in Picton and were looking for a dinner spot. We were pointed to Cafe Cortado by our motel. We were not disappointed! Excellent atmosphere with views of the inner harbor. Super tasty food and easy drinking local beer on tap. We are going back again tonight!

We are local and have been here before they had the revamp done. We decided to have the 5 tapas to share for 2 people and there was plenty of food. They were pretty busy and we hadn't booked but they fit us in. The food was excellent so we will definitely be back for more. Cheers Guys.

We stayed in Picton overnight to take the ferry the next morning to Wellington and spent a pleasant evening dining on the quay at Cafe Cortado. Lovely vibe and eclectic music kept our feet tapping and lovely cocktails combined with the view of the quay. Great menu selection kept us all happy delicious food expertly served and in a very...
