It's takes about 10 minutes walk from Trakai center, but its nice walk by lake side. Old wood house with everything made from wood also inside, tables, chairs... They have local food, soups, kibinini which you should try, even if its just backed type of bread with different filling of mashrooms, meat and more. But every place their own secrets.... More

We visited this restaurant after spending hours on the freezing lake, due to recommendation from our guide. It did not disappoint. We have a number of different type of kibinai, even the chocolate one. Each one of them are remarkably delicious, my favorite is the spinach and cheese one. The chocolate kibinai is a little too sweet for my taste.... More

We've been there during our family trip. We tryed local dishes, all of them were very good and unusual. Cabage soup, dumplings, potato are must have there. Would strongly recommend. The place might be crowded during lunch time

Have been taken to this place by a local friend and recommended what to have - a mushroom soup in the bread-bowl and a kibinai with potatoes (a Karaite people inspired dish). Both were lovely and accompanied by some hot herb and honey tea - all one needs after a freezing walk around the Trakai castle.

When ever you travel to a new country you always want to try the authentic local food, Senoji Kibinine was just that. Being a cold, snowy day, we walked into this wooden haven of warmth. The decoration was all traditional art work and wooden crafts. The food was great and cheap! A fantastic little gem to find out in the... More

If you are coming to Trakai, you should try traditional Karaites pastrie Kibinas. In my opinion the best place to try Kibinai is Senoji Kibininė, which is located a little outside centre of Trakai, but not far away (max. 5 minutes by foot from Castle bridge). Restaurant is not luxurious or with amazing view. Sometimes you need to wait more,... More
