The menu cart offers a wide variety of sushi. But today I was going for something else. For starters I had crab in tofu, which was nice, but my 5 points goes to the main course Gyo Kinoko no Oyster, beef fillet bits with rice noodles, mushrooms and oyster sauce - it was plain simple delicious. For desert I had... More

We were invited for dinner, the miso soup was excellent. The sushi plate was wonderful including nigiri, sashimi all in a good taste, service was excellent, not cheap but good value for money.

Good sushi but nothing special. Fish was of very good quality which is a big plus. Their homemade sorbet was very nice! Must try. Quite expensive place. Around 30 eur per person you should have as a minimum.

Sushis and Maki are quite expensive for Riga. You don't get the offer 1 for 2 which is available in every sushis restaurant here. We were the only one in the restaurant. The man at the entrance asked us if we really really wanted to come as it was going to close in 1 hour... Good sushis and good quality)... More

I travel all over the world but only eat Sushi in the Baltic states so I don't know? This place however is very good, even on a quiet snowy Monday night they had plenty of staff and very fresh produce. Recommend

Visited this place without reservation - it was empty on Sunday evening, so service was fast and very good. Ordered soups, sushi and desert: * Miso was OK, but udon had nothing in common with properly done udon, so avoid it * Sushi and maki were good, but not great if you take into account the price * Deserts were... Found the food good although the serviings are quite small and prices quite high, tasty enough though, watch out for the Wasabi that they like putting over the dishes (dynamite hot)

Went here a bit to early, with no guests @19.00 and ordered the spicy set and a roll on the side. The meal arrived (and so did the other guests around 20). Food was good and worked perfect with the prosecco of choice-service was 'as expected'-all in all, Recommenable

By far the best sushi restaurant in Riga, in terms of quality and service, the food is rather expensive by local standards, but reasonably priced compared to similar places in France or Switzerland. They also offer delivery, even to Jurmala. Overall I highly recommend the restaurant.

«Sumo» is the first most precious elitist Japanese restaurant in Riga. It was opened in the December 1999. Visitors of «Sumo» are dainty gourmets and also representatives from business circles. There it is possible to talk things over peacefully and leisurely. Design of «Sumo» excels with reserved elegance and a characteristic Eastern charm, homeliness and correctness. Important roles have the pendulant curtains that separate the tables from each other in the passages.
