Two thumbs down as far as food goes (canned tuna salad, burp), unimaginative sandwiches and blah pasta, but cold beer and a really sweet waitress who deserves a better job in my opinion. Diners up the hill looked happier. I won't be back.

We chose this place as it was less crowded and less expensive than the "Authentic Estonian" restaurant next door. For starters we ordered the pelmeni which were to die for, and for mains we ordered a mushroom risotto and fettuccini. While the mains were definitely tasty and portion sizes generous, I found my risotto a bit too salty. The waitress... More

The restaurant is in the cellar under Merchant's House Hotel in the center of the old town in Tallin (very good hotel). The cellar is a big dark - but nice. We were a group of 14 persons and they had rather big problems in doing the serving as ordered. Forgot a persons main dish (mine...) - and afterwards they... More

The old town has so many restaurants, I'm surprised that I even found this one. The management has put no effort to draw customers so initially it looked like a big risk to go in. The restaurant is down stairs in the cellar but the ambiance is very nice. Me and my friend ordered the hand made pasta with mushroom... More

Brilliant. Interesting menu with some unusual twists. Excellently cooked and presented. Needs to be better promoted to attract more clientele but represents excellent value to money.

One meal with a fillet steak was superb but the entrecote steak was inedible. No comment from the staff or the chef for an uneaten meal.

This restaurant is underneath the Merchant's House Hotel and looks inviting. However, our food was dreadful. I had finished what I could manage of my meal before my partner had even had his food. The best desciption of the maincourse I can come up with is that it closely resembled Winalot. To be fair, the waitresses were delightful and very... More

This is a review of the restaurant, not the hotel. Whilst the young waiting staff were diligent, attentive and helpful they were unfortunately the buffer to poor management and an appalling chef. Our food was an hour in coming and then arrived in dribs and drabs. The quality of the food ranged from inedible to bearable and the food was... More
