The menu was limited to one main course in each category: vegetarian, fish, chicken and beef. We ordered each but the beef. The vegetarian was cabbage and overlooked sprouts; tasteless. The sturgeon was pitifully small and unadorned. One butterflied quail atop some indistinguishable vegetables left...More

We had a great experience eating here. This place is good if you want something a little bit nicer as it is slightly on the pricier side. Food was good and service was really quick and efficient.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Tallinn (which I visit a few times a year) and in my top three restaurants anywhere. No gimmicks or fads - just perfectly prepared food, using the best, local ingredients. My son and I had the Estonian beef...More

We ate here on our last night in Tallinn. 31 Uus looks like a derelict building from the road, and at first sight you might be inclined to think it closed. But go up the steps to the side, and walk to the back of...More

If you've never tried Noma or the other new Nordic food temples, here's your chance at a quarter of the price. Really excellent food and presentation. Nice room that's relatively casual. I ordered four courses to try the menu and wasn't disappointed in any dish-...More

Modern take on Estonian ingredients. Plates were all clever in a good way and the produce top notch. Beer pairings were also a welcome touch.

Their philosophy is slow food, Estonian ingredients only for a nordic cuisine. In the old town, in the middle of a nice garden, very nicely designed between antique and Bistrot style. We had carrot tartare, chicken and mushrooms soup and as main courses a beef...More

We almost turned back for lack of finding this hidden jewel, up a set of steps at the end of Uus St, but wow were we glad we persevered!!! In an airy and simple building nestled under the city walls, whose most recent previous existence...More

Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
