Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had booked a table in advance for our overnight stay, and I am very glad we ended up booking it in Leib Resto! The restaurant was absolutely beautiful, with a cosy terrace and inviting design inside. The staff was super friendly and welcoming! The menu is very good and short (always a good sign for me), and yet we... More

I arrived in Tallinn by ferry and it was a beautiful day. I walked toward the Old town and was getting very hungry. Using the Trip Advisor app, I was searching for someplace to eat. It said I was very close to this restaurant but I couldn't find it. If you are coming from the garden or back side on... More

Everything Estonian, we could even have tried Estonian wine, but went for Arneis instead. Wonderful pike perch, absolutely tasty and perfectly cooked and presenred. Lovely garden outside, unfortunately it was a bit too chilly.

I was in a business trip in Tallinn for 3 weeks and my wife was to visit me during one of the weekends, si I went there scouting for a good place to have lunch, and was a great experience. Nice terrace for coffees and beers. Very good menu for lunch or dinner. Table reservation often required.

Local ingredients, amazing beer and wine list, knowledgeable staff, and fantastic service. The food and the atmosphere made the night special and we would definitely go back.

Had a lunch for four and did the booking beforehand which is highly recommended. Young and very helpful staff made one feeling welcomed. Short menu but divided by main ingredients for easy viewing. Wine list is long but also great wines served by a glass. We all loved our starters and main courses, will return again!

Hands down, one of the best restaurant experiences of Tallinn. The core is certainly Leib's food offering. Beautifully delicious, natural and local. They say the beer and wine selection is also one of the best in town. The service is attentive, interior simple - one can focus on food and good people around

The Staff was excellent, we was lucky to be drop-in. After the visit, we would advice to book before coming here. The popularity of the Resturant is understandable as the quality of the food is grandeur. This is the sort of high-class, simplified food could get. Where the produce and meat speak for itself, no fancy sauces, but the purest... More

3 of us. No starters. Leib means bread... something fundamental to Estonia. Black bread was wholesome, but would be nicer if slightly warmer and was the least interesting part of the meal ironically. No starters: main courses; duck - earthy, autumnal yet delicate (fine to be autumnal in April when it is blizzarding outside); fish - pike/perch on cauliflower -... More

Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
