Just visited the famous Leib with long ago made pre-reservation. As three experienced gents sit down, chat and start eating, it is serious business for any restaurant. Leib staff served us with excellent food, well matching wines and fairly fluent service. Even though the overall...More

The food is really well done, with large portions. The focus is on good quality and mix, and not pretense. Be sure to try the local beers. Large wine list. Good desserts. Has some outdoor seating in a quiet courtyard. Set on the edge of...More

Great place to just relax and enjoy a quiet corner in the Tallinn Old Town. The garden is really nice and separated from the rest of the Old Town. Great atmoshpere outdoors and the indoors seemned nice too. The food was quite ok. Nothing exceptional...More

Our only regret was that we didn't leave enough time before the ferry to have a main course. The venue alone is worth the visit, as it is set in a garden along the old city walls. The carrot tartar was unique; the duck fillet...More

Found this restaurant via lonely planet guide. Quirky and attractive setting, professional service and above all fantastic quality sourced food - highly recommend

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the garden, but the service was rather long and not that professional, we had to ask for our bread (which should be their thing in the first place) and wine was not served with the food as requested. Food...More

The restaurant is in the old town, but still outside the tourist routes. The garden is beautiful to dine during the summer, but the dining rooms inside looked also very cosy. Most importantly the food and service is excellent. There is a fairly large selection...More

Wow, what a garden! If weather is nice, ask for a garden table. It is wonderful. Design of the restaurant inside is really cool. Staff is friendly and helpful. They did forget about parts of our order, but they were too sweet and kind to...More

Great restaurant tucked away from the main thoroughfare of Tallinn with both indoor and outdoor dining, the later set in lovely garden surroundings. The cuisine is exceptional and the service perfect. You must try and find this hidden gem as you will be surprised and...More

This restaurant is the best one in Tallinn! Me and my friends had a weekend trip in Tallinn and we came here on our first evening, everything was booked, so we made a reservation for Saturday evening. The dinner was amazing - fish, meat and...More

Description
Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
