Lovely decor. Great food with many many traditional options. Really good value for money. Service on occasion can be quite slow on busier days but worth the wait. Local alcohol is also worth the try if you've not had it before.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday for Dinner. The dishes were all very good and the prices very fair, although the restaurant is located in the centre of the old town. We spent around 30€ in two for appetizers, main dishes, desserts, two beers...More

Very delicious food, especially traditional, for example 14 different types of ceppelines. Everything was just perfect (food, cheap prices, waitresses), we´ll be definitely back again if we´ll be in Vilnius. Thanks a lot:))))

Had to wait cepelunai around 25 minutes, despite waitress said no more 15. The dish did not impress on taste (potato with curd), but was nutritious.

Sometimes it is perfect and sometimes you just wandering why so bad? Depends from cook. When cook is good, meal is also good. When bad then bad. But mostly i really like FORTAS! NICE PLACE

Lovely and helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Menus had English translations too. Great traditional Lithuanian food and choices in drinks. Some seating upstairs but most is in the cellar which is nice, but difficult for people with mobility issues.

The cafe environment is very good but too many customers so you need to wait 20-30 minutes before you get the table! The tastes of traditional food actually not fit for Asian appetize, too oily .

This is a great place for traditional Lithuanian dishes. It may be a little tourist-y, but, that's because it's good food! There were people waiting when I arrived (I went for lunch), but I was solo, so they were able to seat me quickly. I...More

Stopped in for a late lunch after a full morning of sightseeing. I received a friendly welcome, prompt seating and service. I recommend the cold beet soup and one of the regional filled dumplings. English is spoken so no worries.

More

Description
FORTO DVARAS was the first restaurant in Lithuania to offer certified meals from the Gastronomic Heritage Foundation. These are meals made in the traditional way, using products of local origin. You can hear Lithuanian music playing in a cosy atmosphere of an old estate, decorated with elements of the old graphics and pictures from authentic books.
